Yesterday, Ricky and I sat by the pool for a little while.

You put your right foot in....you take your right foot out........

AWWW Shaun, he is a really sweet dog! Is he a chihuahua? Love the pavers around the pool, I bet you enjoy entertaining there a lot, dontcha??

Since the house is for sale and you don't want to spend a lot of money, stick an Areca palm into the corner and some inexpensive flowering annuals in the front. Fill the open spaces with pine bark and be done with it.

For anyone looking at getting a pool installed in San Diego, they should definitely go with Mission Pools. We finished our pool a few months ago & our new pool is fantastic, and I have never been this satisfied with a contractor. From design, to planning, to quality of construction, to followup service; everything has been outstanding. You definitely want Jim McGreevy as a project manager. He is very knowledgeable, prompt, communicates well, and does all of this with a great attitude. Even for pool service they are awesome! Ricky is the best & will get your pool set up correctly & keep it looking brand new. All of the construction crews that did the install were very prompt and respectful, and took pride in their work, it made a big difference in the final product for sure!

Thanks Elizablue. I got the palms from Beyond Paradise. They have a location in Cypress and one in Katy. They all are doing great and the triple Pygmy survived the cold winter which we feared it may not (I was in San Antonio when we got freezing rain that wasn't predicted so I didn't get to wrap it in a planket). The service and advice there was great too. Hope you find something you like.

croton problem - calling ricky

This is my fear Ricky. I was so hoping you'd tell me that the croton borer also attacked plumbago and then I could rationalize that I had that AND whatever is killing oaks in our neighborhood. We put in a pool very close to this area eight years ago. And everything was fine for awhile but I wondered if we lost the oak because we weakened it by cutting so many roots, especially when something was going around our neighborhood killing oaks. But nothing has really changed since then. We don't irrigate, and never have. And I've never had anything besides too much water kill plumbagoes. Our neighbor also does not irrigate, or do much of anything besides mow. I'm glad my coffee grounds aren't hurting anything. They seem to make the gardenia happy. I'm only a couple blocks from the bay. Do you think saltwater intrusion could do this? None of the houses in my neighborhood are on wells anymore, haven't been for decades, and none of the neighbors remember why they abandoned their wells, though many of the older houses, including mine, have old capped wells. Ugh. I gotta find something to fill in that part of the hedge.

Donna, yes he is listed as a Chihuahua but we think he's got a little Rat Terrior in him. Actually a Rat Terrior Breeder stopped us in PetSmart one day and told me she knew her Terriors and he was definitely a Terrior. But his AKC Papers say pure bred Chihuahua.

Yes we do enjoy a lot of entertaining. Thank you!

Poor Ricky was so scared last night, thundered/lightened, he ended up in my bed, shivering and jumping all night. I'm so tired today!

I agree, I think we need more pictures of Ricky, he's adorable and I love that "mask" he wears. Super Ricky, in disguise, LOL.

I'd play the hokey pokey with him any time and let him win. Wait. Does anyone actually WIN at hokey pokey?
