Here are the boys (and 1 girl!)playing hockey in a tournament:

They're all 7 & 8 years old. They won the semi-final game:

But then lost in the championships. Here they are lining up to shake hands:

They are so cute and have so much fun out there, it's the greatest feeling to watch them.

Cute, but can't see their blue eyes, AM! Wanna see the blue eyes! You have the cutest kids!

Did I mention, by the way, that we LOVED meeting you? You're the best!

Isn't it great to see them learning a team sport at that age ! I know I love to see and hear about my younger grandson, now ten years old, who's been playing hockey in Calgary since he could walk.

It must be expensive though to keep them in uniforms, headgear and skates when they're growing so much every year.

skane; please give us a break on the Husky commercials. This problem has nothing to do with Lawn-Boy or Toro - it's something about that batch of B&S engines, which have been known as solid performers since the first power mowers. I think anyone with one of the 'Insight' mowers (which Toro is phasing out of Lawn-Boy and painting red) has a solid mower. These new LB models Toro has put in Home Depot are about as cheap as a decent mower can be, even though they incorporate features of the LB 'Insight' and the Toro 'Recycler'. With the usually reliable B&S engine, they should sell very well for Toro. I cannot imagine what is happening with the B&S engines. lb2009; if you haven't already taken it back, review the owner's manual for starting procedures and see if you're not doing something. These new B&S engines are supposed to have an automatic choke, so there's no manual choke or primer. My guess is there's an adjustment problem with that cold-enrichment system.

Nice Ech, Jeff, and I, too, love the pot. I have many interesting pots from a lady potter in our club, but we lost her to cancer in January. I treasure every pot and think of her often as I admire the plants I keep in them. I think creative people leave a bit of their "essence" behind in their masterpieces. Duane, when I got married my husband made me start learning the Wings by their numbers. I never got to double digits. But I did learn to name the original 6 teams! Go Wings! (though we won't really start watching until the playoffs...Gotta get through College Basketball... and since we are nearer Bruins country now, that's ok with me) We have friends/distant relatives who work for the franchise, and have seen some fun pics of them with the Stanley Cup. And I used to work at Bagley and 2nd and remember craning out my window (on the 22nd floor) to see the Wings drive down Woodward on one of the championship parades. I do miss Hockeytown. That was the year a giant inflated squid/octopus hung from the top of the Fisher Building... I could see it from my office... regarding those cats around town, these days we're routing for a really good Lions Draft Pick, LOL!

Lucy is going to be my figure skater! If I have to sit in a cold rink all day and spend a fortune on gear, I at least want the benefit of pretty outfits.

Hockey is a great sport for kids, Sharon. It must be so much fun to watch your grandson. Hockey is more difficult than other sports (factor in proficient skating along with a stick, puck and all that gear and rules) and the concept of "team" is so important that I'm amazed at how much my kids get out of it. In reality, I'd be thrilled for Lucy to be a hockey player.

Great pictures, AM. But, I do enjoy the closeups of your adorable children better :-)

I'm sure you'd be happy if Lucy becomes a Hockey player as long as she's happy, hey maybe by then Vera Wang will be designing the Olympic Hockey uniforms!
