Stunning images Barnmom!
Looks like it was great weather for both hiking and taking photographs.

I still remember how impressed I was with the watercolours you did for the winery!
I loved the ones with the vineyards in the background.
Wish we could see some of those again. Do you have them on a website? :-)

Wow I was so sure this came from a tree. Maybe in the dark what I didn't notice was a vine IN that tree lol. Sorry William..I had no idea a trumpet vine seed pod could be so big ! Thank you Remy for helping to clear this up.. Now if I only I knew which one it was..the color I mean. The orange is most common around here.

An 11-hour hike, lots of plants to identify

The last one (sany0265k.jpg), as well as the other one that looks like it (sany0175i.jpg) are Lesser Periwinkle, Vinca minor. The two just before the last one with the little white flowers (sany0256.jpg and sany0255.jpg) looks to be Early Saxifrage, Saxifraga virginiensis. The yellow one near the end (sany0248.jpg) looks like a Round-Leaved Yellow Violet, Viola rotundifolia. The one with the tiny purple flowers (sany0234.jpg) is Ground Ivy, Glechoma hederacea. Those are the ones that immediately jumped out at me, as we've seen all of the above on our homestead this year. Hope this helps!

How did I miss this? Thank you Deanne for posting these wonderful pics! I love that pic of Sue, Mary & Bug. What a cute, expressive smile on your face Bug...and Oh my...what a show those morning glories make! I also love them on the arbor with that beautiful island of pink next to them...you can actually "feel" the movement of the garden here...lovely! Well everything is as lovely and astounding as I imagined it to be, but after seeing all these great pics I'm even more sad that I wasn't able to see it in person...someday! I *love* all the pics of Elora Gorge Deanne! You are such a *wonderful* photographer. And the pic of the "most garden tolerant men" is great! They don't look like they were suffering much though! :-) Thanks Deanne & Bug for sharing these! Ei

Thanks, I'm glad to have photos as memories of a fun afternoon. Yes, Dax, I collected 4 large cones in a parking lot and managed to get them in my airline luggage. I also have unknown cones from my daughter's yard. You'll get a chance at ID's soon. I loved the cones of sugar pine spotted later in my vacation the most. They were in a National Park so I left them alone. Hard to do, but I thought I'd see more somewhere else that I could grab guilt free. Never saw any more :( I do have pics of them, tho...watch for giant sequoia and coast redwood pictures in the next few days with a few sugar pines thrown in for extra fun.

I loved the "River Rocks" photo and the illustration of "Poms".

I can see images when I walk and think "what a great photo" but somehow mine never look the same way.

Barnmom I can't decide which of those I like best as I do love the watercolours but also the wolf, falcon and bottle etching. I still love those vineyard watercolours too that you once posted.

I wish more members would look over here in the Gallery.
They miss so many interesting images such as these, and I bet many don't realize how talented you are.
