The grass is dry. I always mow in late morning after the morning dew has evaporated. I spoke to the shop concerning the installation of the last drive disk and they stated that the clearances were met. My guess is that the drive disk which seems to be made from plastic and not rubber may be part of the problem. When the mower had the symptoms last, I stood the mower on end and the rotor disk was very hot and the drive disk was very pliable. Maybe the contact material on the drive disk is getting too hot to have enough friction on the spinning rotor.

Open the Device Manager on the Control Panel. Locate your drive on the appearing tree. Click on the + sign which will open the entry. Right click on the appearing drive and select Properties. On the General tab at the bottom, what does it report about status? Regardless of the report I would reset the driver. To do this open the Driver tab. Select update driver. Depending on yur device you may or may not have to be connected to the Internet. If this doesn't resolve the concern then the next step would be to remove Nero. Please consider using REVO as Nero can be a little difficult to remove. In fact, after removing Nero check your Add/Remove for any ancillary Nero applications still installed, and do a START>Search using the keyword Nero. DA

I am using DVD+R to reuse one I have, looking in my physical file I see I have 5 new ones that don't need to be erased. Still I wonder. I purchased these back in 2007, progress may have left them behind. The label is: DVD RW, DVD+R I should be able to read and write, hum, doesn't say erasable. The mfg is Memorex and proudly proclaims: Recordable, Enregistrable and Grabable the last two of which I have no clue to the meaning. I think I may have purchased them for use in a DVD audio/video recorder.. but that is digital too. I am pretty sure I can stick in my DVD player/recorder (not on the computer) and erase/overwrite..not sure I want to got to the trouble to check. Thanks for the link to third party DVD software. I'll look there but most likely will just use a new DVD. It lists a 4.7 GByte capacity. Does newer technology hold more? I think the Toshiba script talked about 4.7 GByte (may be the standard still) and two DVDs.

Ok...I just copied what it said I needed from the instructions. The installation from my old Dell was all on one disk. I'd be afraid I'd mess up the installation if it ended up on multiple CDs. Maybe I should say that there would be more chance for error on my part. The instructions also said that the USB key should have a minimum capacity of 8 GB. Well, when I go to Control Panel, I see there are 45 programs now with total space of 1.12 GB. So what gives with them saying I need a minimum of 8GB? I'm guessing that it would all go on one of the disks at the link below. About them...it says, "This recordable DVD features AccuCORE technology which is 100x more scratch resistant than standard discs. Fights static, repels stains and fingerprints" Here is a link that might be useful: 25 DVD+RW Re-Recordable DVD 4.7GB
