I gave up awhile ago trying to keep track of my small tools.Never close by when I needed it. My soulution was to buy several and when I am done using them I stick them in the dirt NEXT to the edge (border) and leave them there. Cute to see trowels standing up here and there and always one in close reach. Mind you they are the inexpensive ones so the weather doesn't matter. I also leave old large metal serving spoons & forks stuck in the dirt here and there.... Now to figure out how to store the endless rakes, shovels, edgers, larger hand tools that I pile in the corner of my barn and never fails the one I want is way in the back and knock down the whole pile trying to get the one I want. fwiw I had similar problems once with dsl when it rained so was pretty obvious it was the phone wire drop. Convincing Internet support was useless they wanted all the 'do this and that pia stuff - I had to call for phone service while it was raining & tell them when it Rains I have noise on my phone line & it is screwing up my internet. They sent a service guy & changed the pole to house drop line. Said he would put in some report to bury it & that someday they would magically do that.

You can use the middle scroll wheel on your mouse to move pages up and down. I never use the bar on the side anywhere - It is so much easier to use that scroll wheel once you get used to it! Also - if you want to open something in a new tab - like if you wanted to open several threads on the main page at the same time - just click that scroll wheel down on the thread name and it will open in a new tab. Don't forget to use that scroll wheel to go down the page to open more - lol! My internet isn't super fast, so I will go ahead and open several so they load as I start reading the first one.

Agree, with 8 foot ceilings those beams would make it feel claustrophobic and busy. It will completely change the character of the house (in a good way, at least by my eye). Just be prepared that bringing down may open up a few cans of worms (such as the fireplace and possibly refinishing the entire ceiling). I'd put in crown moulding instead if you want to keep a similar style to the house (not contemporary/MCM).
