Yes, and now it is even worse. It was bad enough when the advert on the top of the forums list page would resize itself. I always ended up trying to hit the rose forum link at the top and would instead end up in the bromeliads forum below, where the page would throw me. As of early this morning, the damn top ad resizes on EVERY thread page, which is completely absurd and off putting. I realized this this morning and almost posted my disgust about it but felt I shouldn't really shout about it here on the rose forum. But since you brought it up :)! I am glad someone did. I hated the resizing ad before, I REALLY hate it now! I almost died when I read the ad on the forum thread pages, which was for a special Earth Day MONTH of specials at target! All I could think was "This is going to last a MONTH, with the crappy ad!!?!" I see just now when I opened a new forum thread page that it did not resize. You think enough people complained to GardenWeb already?

I don't understand why they are read only but if you right click on the file name and choose properties on the context menu then at the bottom of the 'general' tab you can remove the check mark from the read only box.

that is wonderful that you are willing to contribute for the assistance you received at LzD. The entire staff at LzD is exceptional and go the extra mile to help those in need. You can contact Corrine (or any of us there) by PM on LzD should you care to do so and thank her or you can start a thread in the Lounge area thanking the whole staff for help, believe me it is always appreciated to hear a thank you. Many times there are several of the team working behind the scenes to get the results you end up with. Corrine is on many many help forums on the internet and does it as a volunteer, she has been awarded the MVP many years now and again this year from Microsoft. She does have a great blog you can keep up with. Security Garden I am sure she could give you some ideas for donations which would help the security support community efforts if you told her you would like to give a little back. All of us in the support community want one thing over all and that is to pay it forward. If you were helped in some way try to pay that forward to someone else even if it is just now knowing where to send them for the help they need. glad to hear you have successfully cleaned your machine! Feel free to hang out with us at LzD in the lounge and play a game when you have time. R-C

For the ones having trouble, what browser(s) are you using? What firewall? Spywareblaster? Any filters, modified hosts files or anything? What maintenance regiment are you using? How often do you scan for malware, viruses and the like? Doing Windows Updates regularly? Just usinging the theory if enough people tell their doctors they don't feel well they'll make us all well again isn't very practical if you want it to get better. Sometimes it's better to use the old joke as the philosophy - It hurts when I do this... then don't do that! Maybe you need to do something about the condition instead of expecting them to do everything?
