I am not saying they are the "bad" guys. I am sure all the lab people and the laymen working for these agencies are good and honest. I just don't trust the people in the upper echelon of these agencies. Most or maybe all of the people running and managing these agencies have conflict of interest due to the practice of revolving doors. When the results are not favorable to the corporate interests they represent, they suppress the release of such information or they totally omit that part of the information. Too much industrial and corporate interests are vested in the outcomes of these studies and lab results. There are also too many instances where the corporate interests are placed before the interest of public health. You can find these instances in the following: addition of flouride into public water supply, suppression and manipulation of data by the CDC regarding MMR vaccine's role in autism, glyphosate's safety when review of Monsanto's records tell a different result... Glyphosate (Roundup)was once touted as safe for human use and approved by EPA. I unfortunately had believed these claims and used it in my home garden. Now studies have shown that exposure to this chemical can cause cancer and kidney failure and other health problems. All I am doing here is trying to protect myself from such a repeat of an occurence. I don't want to find out a few years from now that Milorganite maybe toxic. By that time, the damage is already done and the soil in my garden contaminated. Look I am not trying to stop people from using this stuff. If anyone is comfortable and ok in using this in your home, by all means use it. I am just asking for independent lab testing and its results. If you can provide me with this information, I am grateful.

The Rainbow Rose Ripoff Report. The first obvious clue that Rainbow Rose Seeds don't exist is that Rainbow rose "bushes" -for sale- don't exist (not online or at any nursery). Call any reputable plant farm or nursery (Monrovia Farms, Calloway's Nursery etc). The selling of non-existant rainbow rose seeds is a big money-making scheme through intentional fraud. You will only find Rainbow Roses growing in the following locations.1: In fields where frolicking herds of Unicorns roam! 2: In flowerbeds, growing right next to forever-blooming Money Trees! Or 3: In the flower gardens of each and every honest politician that lives and breathes!!! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS RAINBOW ROSES OR RAINBOW ROSE SEEDS. ~ A Dutch flower company owner, Peter van de Werken, created the flower-coloring technique, not the flower. The majority of "Rainbow Rose" pictures seen online are simply Solid White roses that "drink up" different colors of brightly colored dyes through its stems (similar to how millions of cute little Pink or Purple bunny rabbits and baby chicks suddenly appear at Easter time). To all these unscrupulous web-based sellers, including those on eBay and Amazon etc who continue participating in the Rainbow Rose seed scam, "Shame on you".

Just an fyi, we have two black silgranite sinks by Blanco that were installed in 2012. Granted, they are BLACK, so staining has not been an issue, we do not wipe them down after every use, and I am very happy with them. I would buy them again. But having read this thread and Ashley's comments, I would not buy a lighter colored version. These sinks are pretty inexpensive compared to the cost of the kitchen as well as some other sinks. At this point in your journey @Kendal Jean, why not just replace it and move on to enjoy your new kitchen? Once you remove the sink you won't have the daily reminder of your horrible experience dealing with Blanco.

I think what's happened is people read all this crap about cold water washing and decide to try it...they discovered the food stain or clay came out of their clothing and think great cold really does clean your clothing.. I'd bet many people just don't realize how much body oils the body produces each day even by the non oily skin folks. Body sweat and oils are the biggest soil in our clothing/bedding. You wouldn't wash your oily/greasy dishes in cold water yet have no problem thinking cold will remove oils in textile fibers. Remember cold water constricts (tightens up) fibers. Water and detergent can't get in to remove the soils. Very warm and hot relaxes the fibers allowing water and detergent to flush out the imbedded soils. Another thing people don't smell their own scent..I'm convinced of this. I've told this before but...my cousin has a beautiful home...immaculate...or so it appears. When I walk back thru her hall to the bathroom I can smell bedding that's not clean..the bed is made and looks just lovely but the scent is just awful. She washes all her bedding in cold and cool. She doesn't smell the funk but I do. I was reading a few years back on another Houzz forum where there was a conversation about linen closets...something about they put all their bed sheets in a closet freshly washed and smelling nice than several weeks later they stink. Their thoughts are something in the closet, the shelving the flooring must be causing the old stale scent in their sheets. Others chimed in with the same problem all saying the sheels smelled fresh and clean when they went into the linen closet. They were of course washing in cold water in order to preserve their high end expensive sheets and to prevent shrinking. I didn't comment in this thread but wanted to. LOL. Than there's the manufactures of **cold water detergent** sealing the deal. But even P&G when I spoke to them a few years back said its not ment to wash bedding...that bedding requires warm and hot to remove oils. They should print this stuff on the boxes/jugs. I don't care what detergents or how excellent a detergent is...it will not remove oils if your washing in cold. I wish those that wash in cold would take one pillowcase..a clean one and drop it in a pot of boiling water..shut the heat off, stir a minute and take a deep wiff at the steam comming off it. Beware its gonna stink.
