My Swap package from Rita...

Rita sent me a big box with a warm note describing her shopping experiences...She included a toy for Puccini - a "squeakless" chew toy. When I took it out of the box he knew it was his!

She was so thoughtful to include outdoor grilling and eating things. A beautiful set of aqua blue melamine dishes, 4 bowls, salad and dinner plates. This is my favorite color! She also included a thermometer fork which I used this past weekend to check the steaks that I grilled - I just love gadgets! A stainless steel grid for grilling those small items you don't want to slip through the grill grids-I will use this for shrimp and scallops.

All in all a wonderful and useful package. Thanks SO much Rita! -maria

I would love to see these items! Perhaps Rita can post photos if you are unable. I also love the color aqua - it's one of my two favorites, along with turquoise, which are both very Piscean colors!

I have not seen those thermometer forks, but I do have the stainless steel grid things for grilling small items. I sometimes put salmon in them, just to make it easier to turn, but since you mentioned shrimp, I think I'll try it for that.

I hope things are going well for you and that you are not having computer problems, but then those always seem to happen anyway, don't they!

Oops, I was supposed to take out the chew toy...:)

Sorry I forgot to get pics before I sealed the Swap Package but I did find two of them on the Bed Bath And Beyond site... I picked up the SS tray at Target but couldn't find a pic on their site.

oh diana, i'm so glad you got a camera. i certainly learned for next time to always take pictures. barnomom...more than three? the cruets are one piece, the pitcher and glasses a REAL set and the napkins are the third item. the mag certainly does not count as a swap item. funny that you mention "more than three" is to this swap box and not a comment to some of the others. i must be missing something. diana, enjoy it all. i absolutely loved each item i sent to you and certainly hope you will for quite some time to come. maryanne p.s. michelle, nice dog outfit. you are obsessed with those skeletons LOLOL

Salmon from one end of the continent and lobster from the other...this is one good swap. You'll like Bittman's book I bet, Robin. I bought one for the kid's roomate when she graduated high school and, of course, had to preview it for her. The trivet is beautiful, Catherine... nice choices.

Yeah Gina fess up where around here did you get that turkey sculpture. If River says the linens are good, I believe her. She has cred on that one. I am so glad you liked everything. Your package that you sent me was wonderful, too. The vase I sent was because I keep one setting around and often bring flowers in from my yard as a pick me up. My grandkids bring flowers in to me , too. It sure was a fun thing to do. I will certainly do it again.

Beautiful color, Rita! The grill fork is interesting, I have a little "instant read" but I can never find the darned thing when I want it, it gets buried in the silverware drawer. Yeah, yeah, I know. Keep it somewhere else, LOL.

To post pictures, upload the pictures to Photobucket or some other picture hosting site. Copy the HTML code and then copy and paste it into your message. Then preview your message to see if your picture looks right. It's easy!

Yes, for sure Photobucket is a very easy way. It's free plus they just made it so you have unlimited storage. Like beachlily said when you put your pictures in the album on there you'll see next to it a bunch of codes for different things. This site uses the html code so yeah, just put that right in the body of your message. Well beachlily gave rest of instructions. Just agreeing. Smiles.

Very nice. I like melamine, but my microwave doesn't! They are coming out with such nice colors and patterns, beautiful pieces. Those grill pans sure come in handy!

I have one of those grill forks but I forget to use it! I'll pull it out and put it with my BBQ items!
I love the color of the plates! Would go very well with any summer color.

Mer, that certainly sounds like a fun collection for grilling and outdoor dining. It's great to have a grill thingy that keeps the little veggie pieces from falling through.
