Open Mycomputer from the desk top choose properties tell me how much ram is installed? Then open in Mycomputer again put your mouse over Local Disk, a small window will pop up, what does it say about Disc space it should list the total hard drive size, and amount of free space left on Disc. ******You might consider getting rid of Norton it does not get along with some PCs and there a very good free Anti Virus Programs available. Just so you know removing Norton usually requires a special removal tool to get rid of it all, if this is not done left over files will be left, it's a simple process but needs to be done correctly.

I have 2 wireless mouses or um mice?? that I really like one is a GE and one is a Gear Head MP2000WU both are the smaller size notebook mouse which I much prefer they just fit and feel better in my hand than the big ones. The Gear Head has the suede feel rubber on the click part of the top and on the sides where you grip it. They both have the small usb receiver that is about the size of a thumb drive or smaller. The GE has a place that opens on the top that the receiver stores in which is nice. One takes AAA one takes AA batteries. I have tried wireless keyboards and no matter the brand I just did not like them, they go through batteries like crazy even the rechargables. GEAR HEAD MP2000WU Mine is all black but it is this one. the dongle for this one is a bit wide and in some cases can partly block the usb port beside it but it does come with a cord to use as an extension if you need it. GE 98792 that is what the GE one looks like, I use it daily it is my main mouse and I love it, nice and small easy to hold batteries last quite well and you can put the dongle inside under the black center part. I have had it and use it daily for a couple years I think, it has never had any problems. oh I just found my mouse in pink, for an excellent price too , it is usually listed around $30 ... I may need this pink one LOL Pink but I see it also comes in blue, mine is silver and black. I had bought a set with a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse but brought it back after a few days, it ate batteries and the keyboard had keys doing kkkkkksssssssss ooooooo etc all the time, Hated it. This one is also a great mouse my husband has it, it comes in handy since he does a lot of conferences and can use the built in laser pointer. It last forever on batteries. Has extra long range. I us a Logitech wireless mouse on my laptop rather than the touch pad. I never liked the Logitech software so I don't install that and the mouse works just fine. Best mouse I've had for battery life :) In Control Panel for Mouse is a setting for pointer speed .. I would think that setting should fix your problem most likely.

Bill, As stated above, there should be a Dongle (Nano Receiver) that plugs into a USB Port on your computer. Depending upon which Gearhead Wireless Mouse you have, the Dongle could be stored Under the Battery Cover or you may just have a Slot in the Bottom of the Mouse for Storage (no cover). To make the Mouse work: Remove Dongle and Plug it into an Open USB Port on your computer Remove the Battery Cover and place Fresh AA Battery/Batteries in the mouse (Make sure they are installed in the correct direction) Turn the Mouse to the On Position (Switch on Bottom of the mouse) Turn on your computer and allow Windows to Install Drivers for your mouse. If by some chance Windows Can't install drivers for you, go to the manufacturers website, download and install the drivers you downloaded Because you have not listed a Model Number for the mouse: Older Mice had Much Longer USB Dongles (hopefully the dongle hasn't been lost, there was NO On Mouse Storage). The Oldest Mice had a Box with a Cord that you set on your Desk (the mouse was still wireless though)! If by some chance you have one of the older mice, there might also be a Connect Button on the Dongle and the Mouse. If it does have a connect button; you'd First press the Connect Button on the Dongle and next the Connect Button on the Mouse.
