all you have to do is x out of the firefox windows you have open and it is closed, you can then just click on your IE icon and open IE, in fact you can have firefox and Ie both open at the same time I do it at times but not often since I rarely use IE.

So just go to your IE icon and open IE and use it.

Indeed, you can have FF and Internet Explorer running at the same time. Simpler yet, just click the "x" at the upper right, and it will close. If you have more than one tab open, the FF browser may be configured to ask you if you are sure you want to close them all. Click yes.

I guess I didn't give enough info. I was using the install disc and was trying to install an optional program called "Natural Color Pro" from the disc. As soon as I clicked on install it came up in Firefox. That was why i wanted to turn FF off, After i read the screen closely there was a workaround
that I got to work. Everything is now working great, all I have to do now ti to learn how to use it.

You must have Firefox set as your default. Before trying to install your program, go to Start-Programs and click on 'Set Program Defaults.' When that window opens click on Custom. Then check IE as the default browser.

I just noticed you have Vista. I have no idea if it's in the same place. Bottom line is you need to set IE as your default browser until you install your drivers. Then set FF back to default.

Wouldn't downloading and using the IE Tab add-on for Firefox work? I use the IE Tab frequently for sites that don't perform well in Firefox. Is this ok or safe to do?
