Hi, I just bought a sharp R1881lsy and have the same bright light issue at night. In a motorhome, the light is to much. While travelling I couldn't wait for an order online for dim screen sheets. My quick fix was to go to a store like Walmart or Dollar tree and find large glasses for kids with plastic lenses preferably with blue tint. I found a pair under $2 that I could cut down to two covers per lense at 1.25"x2.25" each with tin snips. I marked out the measured sections with a fine tip Sharpee. Tape or add adhesive along the edges of the multiple layers of lense to find the dimness you like. Using glue on the lenses may bleed into the viewing area and is not recommended. Attached the finished lenses to the microwave with 3m vhb double sided tape. The tape is 1/2" wide so I took one length at 2 1/4" and cut it into two pieces, 1/4" wide was ideal. With one 1/4" strip above the display and the other below made for good mounting points. Attaching the lense to the microwave dimmed the display enough to make it work.

Opening a faucet to relieve the pressure seems like overkill. The size of a possible flood, with the well pump off, is less than you could have if a leak developed on a normal day, when the well pump is on and you're out of the house from morning to night. That's assuming you've got a normal pressure tank, not something unusual like a big tank sitting on your roof. If you've got an "instant hot" water dispenser, unplug that too. One more thing: If your well is in a well pit, and the sump pump is fed by the same circuit as the well pump, then don't shut it off, or water might rise in the pit and seep into the well head. In that case, just close the main shutoff valve.

Nevermind. Got it direct from Pentair. In case anyone else ever needs to know, you have to follow the power cord to the bottom of the power box and disconnect by unscrewing the handscrew that holds the cord on. No tools needed. It was simple. There IS NO on/off switch.

I just had a quartz counter installed and there was very little dust, just what was on the countertop itself when they carried it in. They were carring several hundred pounds of material in 95 degree heat, and had to repeatedly reposition this stuff in the kitchen. I would have been very uncomfortable with no ac, much less them. They did any grinding outside and nothing in the house and I would not be happy if they planned to do it in my house. You can always turn off the ac when they are there if they for some reason insist that they must grind or cut in your house, but I certainly wouldn't do it before they got there and you determined that it was absolutely necessary. Do they have a website you can visit and maybe view the instructions again? I was considering Silestone and went to their website a number of times and never saw it there, unless it is peculiar to your installer for some reason. Sue
