My Swap Gift Arrived!!!!

My swap gift was delivered this afternoon. This has got to be the best afternoon I've had in forever and I mean forever! I was actually speechless.

It turns out that AnnT is my swap partner. There are no words to convey how special this swap gift is. So, here are a couple of pics....

She also included a box of her very special note cards made from her food photos. These are also very meaningful to me because I have made so many of Ann's recipes. There is even one of the Caramel Rice Krispie Treats.....I made those all summer to sell at the farmers market.

Ann mentioned in her note that she knew one of her boards would be look good in my new kitchen. She couldn't be more right.

I am honored to receive one of her newest designs from the Quilted Maple Collection. This is going to live in a very special place. And yes, I will be showing it off to everybody.

Thank you Ann, your board will be very special to me, for the rest of my life.

I am shaking my head in amazement! Just when you think you have seen it all, a package like this comes along! That cookbook looks like a lot of fun, but it's those pans that are the "eye candy" for me! LOL And ya just can't go wrong with anything from Penzey's! Great job, May! A friend gave me a similar cookbook years and years ago. I still pop clippings into it. It was such a thoughful and useful gift. Lori, your book is also beautiful. The Greek cookbook looks interesting, as does the rub. The kid, who brought home gyro-makings for dinner, wandered in just now and said, "Greek. Kewl." lol.

Shelley, dinner was very simple and easy. Made Moe happy with a Caesar Salad. His request. He feels deprived because I don't make Salads often. Main course was Hoopysmom's Parmesan Crusted Halibut with Parisienne Potatoes and steamed asparagus. Dessert was a Marbled Chocolate Cheesecake tart. Terri, I love those glasses. I bought them in an antique store a number of years ago. They are vintage Highball and Old-Fashion glasses with little coloured stones and Harlequin clowns in gold. I have 8 of each.

Nancy, that's one beautiful board and Ann T's cards are equaly well done, as evidenced by their inclusion in several of the current swap packages.

I can see you serving some of your homemade bread and home canned jam on that, what a perfect gift.

Nancy, I'm so glad that you like your swap gifts.

I was beginning to think it would never get there. The Tracking Number still shows that it is in transit, not that it has been delivered.
