I'm sorry for requesting the list so soon. I wasn't trying to start anything or cause a problem for the swap. I just remembered that last year it was being posted and updated all along as people were joining. I wasn't trying to only send to a few that had their lists up before everyone else, just so you all know. I am just still very new in knowing what kinds of things others want is all. I thought if I saw something on several lists that it must mean a lot of people might like that type of seed is all. I am making an order because I have to if I want to have anything to send in. I would hate to make an order for things that nobody is wanting. It's no big deal, though. I'll just place an order for things that I want and hopefully others will be putting some of the same items on their own want lists so that I can share the extras. I think I'll go ahead and place the order, then put down what I ordered on my "haves" list so others can add them to their wants if they're at all interested in them. I hope that sounds like a good plan. Again, I apologize. I absolutely did not want to cause any problems. I was just trying to see if I would be able to have anything to send in that others wanted. I dispose of my out-of-date meds in a safe manner, like some posters above. Never have flushed or put them into our water system. When I first read this link I was skeptical, or rather cynical as to where these meds may end up. Did check out the link provided by roselvr, and like golddust, no pharmacies in my area currently participate in this program. The NCPA is composed of small independent pharmacies and we just don't have many of those where we live. Have to say that I have some similar concerns as expressed by lee676 in returning controlled substances to a pharmacy. While there are many regulations with regard to the dispensing of those type of meds, the NCPA link does not provide any info regarding any regulations with regard to their acceptance of unused medications, either controlled or not. I wonder how that would work. Also, I noticed that NCPA has a PAC that accepts donations for those who wish to support them as well. I think I want to investigate the NCPA's PAC a bit further before I try to enlist those small pharmacies in my area to participate. Until then I will continue to dispose of our unused or out-of-date meds via the method I've always used. Lee676 is correct about the one year expiration date printed on your medication label. I have a box of Tamiflu prescribed to DH in 11/2006 with an expiration of 11/2007 on the label. However, the expiration date imprinted on the box is 10/2010. Tamiflu is another expensive medication especially if you do not carry pharmacy insurance coverage. Why dispose of a perfectly good medication. In the event you need it again before the true expiration date, you pay for the med twice. I don't know that it is even legal for this practice to take place here. That may be why the CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aids, etc. pharmacies do not participate? When my old gal was put down, I tried to donate all of her meds back to our vet practice for patients who were unable to afford medications. They could not take them back. Many were meds that were in unopened sealed packaging? The local shelters would not take them either. Years back when my DGF passed, his family physician came to our home (I was a wee one, so we're going back quite some time) to collect all of my DGF's leftover meds. Many of the meds were strong narcotic pain-type medications. I wonder to this day about his motivation.

When a kitten or cat that has never made a "mistake" of that sort suddenly pees on a bed, you need to think, "There must be something wrong." You are right to first consider what recent changes in its life could be upsetting it. So, in addition to litter and food, which you note haven't changed, please check the following list. (1) If none of the following questions make you think Yes and you can't think of any other relevant changes, then you should get the kitten to a vet soon because it could have a health condition that is causing the problem. For instance, a cat with a urinary infection will experience a stinging sensation when it pees, and it could blame the place it pees in for the pain, which could lead it to try out other locations. (2) Has some new, possibly unpleasant to a cat, fragrance appeared in its surroundings? There are odors that people love, but that could upset a cat. (Citrus scent is one, and there are others.) (3) Has a new person or pet joined the family? Is there anyone in the family that might be annoying the cat? (For instance, a young child might just be "playing" with it, but to the cat, those attentions could be upsetting.) Has a family member that the cat is fond of moved away (child gone to college, for instance)? The presence of a "new" cat may also upset the current resident cat, leading to bad behavior for a while. I have even known nervous humans to cause a kitten to pee in the wrong places: A 3-month old kitten went to a new home where it was the only pet; but the owners--a young couple--were away for most of the day, and when the kitten peed in a corner somewhere (in its original home, it had never once made a mistake), they made a great fuss. Pretty soon it was peeing here and there in the apartment, but not in its litter box. Finally, they called the breeder of the kitten, who told them to get it checked by the vet. The vet scolded them for scolding the kitten and said they should act very calm and if they caught it in the act, simply put it in the litter box and tell it pleasantly that that was the right place. Overnight, the kitten stopped peeing inappropriately and never did it again. (4) Do you wash or shampoo the cat? (Unlike dogs, cats wash themselves so well that most can go all their lives without a human doing it for them, and they still smell good! [A male, un-neutered cat may be an exception to this, as they sometimes like to use their urine to declare their territories to other males, and it has a strong odor.]) A cat should only be washed when it has gotten into a harmful substance, or too much of even something not harmful, which the cat can't wash off with its own tongue. Being bathed is very upsetting to most cats. I hope one of these suggestions will turn out to be helpful to you. As I wrote about the female cat that started peeing on a silk comforter after I got married, this problem can generally can be fixed, although perhaps not "overnight." Don't feel too upset and don't give up. A cat, even when a tiny kitten, is programmed to do its business in the same place all the time and that is what it would prefer. Most never make a mistake their whole lives unless senility or illness confuses them, so it is very likely that your kitten will not make a regular habit of peeing on the bed. However, do make sure that you thoroughly wash the bedding and/or use some enzymatic pet scent remover to get rid of any lingering scent that would tell the kitten, "Yes, this smells of your urine, so it's the right place to go."

Hi Sunny, My DH and I are under contract to sell our NYC area condo and are about to go under contract to buy a townhouse in central NJ. Our condo was on the market for just about a month, and we sold for 93% of asking, which I think is about as good as you're going to get in this market. I attribute it almost entirely to our agent, who hustled and worked hard to market our home and negotiate with our buyer. So, if your agent isn't hustling and you're disappointed with her performance, you should consider looking for a new agent. There are so many realtors out there right now looking for work that there is no excuse for anything less than 100%. This is a tough time to be a seller, and you're paying your agent a lot of $$, so she should be working hard to sell your home! We tried to sell our condo in 2008 and were unsuccessful, in large part due to the inactivity on the part of our former agent (who had been recommended to me by an acquaintance). We knew that when we went back on the market this year, we needed to find an agent who would be much more aggressive in marketing our home. I found this agent by reviewing reports of recently sold homes (a local realtor posts these for free on her website; perhaps you can find something similar in your area). I determined that a particular office was doing the majority of sales in my town, and then through a bit more online research I found out who the top seller was in that office. I put two and two together and figured out that the agent must be doing most of the work that his office is doing in my area. I did ask our current agent about flyers. He doesn't use them (and gave his reasons why), and I decided to trust him on that and not worry about them. However, when we toured homes in the town we'll be moving to, almost every home had a brochure or flyer. So, if that is what is expected in your area, your agent should be providing those. There is NO REASON for you to have to print them up on your own---this is what she gets her commission for---to market your home! Every agent that I've talked to still posts in the newspaper as a matter of course, even though they all admit that it doesn't really drive many sales their way these days. But again, if that is what is done in your area, then your agent should be doing it. The two main factors that sell houses right now are proper pricing and excellent marketing. If you are priced at the top of the range, then your agent needs to make up for it with her marketing, convincing potential buyers and their agents why they should take a look and consider making an offer. It sounds like you're at a double disadvantage, and the way to remedy that is probably to fire the agent. Good luck!
