Stress: My husband uses Sta-bl in the lawn tractor, mowers and his chain saws and I think he adds something to the gas tank when he pulls the battery out of his steel mistress and puts it up on blocks for the winter, but the generators are kept ready for use year round and run up monthly, so I don't know if he uses it in them or not. But now I'm curious, so will have to ask. My father-in-law took the engine put of an old Case and used it as a generator. It was an amazing Rube Goldberg sort of contraption and made enough noise to wake the dead and had to be started with a hand crank, but produced enough electric power to run a 40 stall milking parlor, with enough left over to operate the lights and the cooler. It ran whenever he needed it for over 50 years. The cows were smart enough to get used to the racket and it didn't bother them but the hens stopped laying for days after every power outage. My mother-in-law used to say that it took a power outtage for her to get the makings for chicken soup. LOL!

I was in this thread looking for something on HP, didn't find it here or in a search. For those in the know on HP an easy one. Is the Pavillion model consistent in the general quality of the case and keyboard - a shared quality? I ask because I like the one below but can't find it locally... I can find Pavillion at my Discount Store (BJs - where my last 3 laptops were purchased) and so I can to a "look-see" at other versions of the Pavillion. Something else that bothers me is the physical size (it is a 17.3" and will be used to move from room-to-room, not for travel) Item Dimensions L x W x H 3.10 x 22 x 13.60 inches Forget the confusion of the listed LWH... the 3.1 must be how thick it is, can it be that thick? A compact desk top computer box may be no more than 5" thick. My current Toshiba and most others I see in the store are just over 1" thick, maybe 1.5" but nothing near 3". The specific machine I'm targeting is: HP Pavilion G7-2220us 17.3-Inch Laptop Sorry for any typos, basically is the Pavilion an HP line with similar physical look/touch? And what about the thickness?

Hi guys! No, I didn't finally jump over the ledge :) I just took a small hiatus. I boarded "charliedawg" in a kennel, packed the suitcases, got the family in the car and got the heck out of here. WHEW! If I ever build a house again (which I highly doubt I will) I will definitely put mental health vacation $$$$ in my budget. LOL Tragusa, I'm not glad that you had all of the problems but I'm glad to know that it worked out for you so I know it will all be ok fo me too. GC will be back tomorrow. She has ALWAYS made things perfect so I'm not sure why I doubted it now. I think I just felt out of control because she is gone. I'm not the type that needs to be in control of such a big project, I guess ya'll figured that out by now.

jane- I am a big fan of GoBack. Unfortunately it is not made for newer Operating systems like Vista, so I only have it on my older machines. Do not un-install it: if you do you are taking away the chance to fix this problem easily, and doing so will not create any old, regular System Restore points. GoBack works by creating its own set of restore points which actually include a complete image of your entire disc at different recent times. If you pick a point that is prior to the virus infection, it will be like going back in a time machine as it will simply restore the whole machine to the state it was on that date. One caution: it will undo anything you did in the period since the restore point, so if you have documents or photos created after the restore point, or new software installed, that will also disappear, but it should definitely solve your virus problem. If you have something important that is recent and on your hard disk, just transfer a copy to a flash drive and then invoke GoBack. It usually only allows you to go back several weeks, so if you have had the virus a long time, this won't work for you, but it saved me many times when I had a virus or a new software install that messed up my machine.
