Wow, Nicole, that bed is a work of art! Contest with your hubby?! No way LOL. You already won! :-) And good that you're putting those welders to such good use! CalamityJ, I have trouble believing there's anything that you can't do at your house from what I've seen of your talent :-) Thanks Karen, I agree with you about Nicole's bed being very high end. SusieRose, if you could ever find an attactive huge container on Freecycle, that would be the way to go with bamboo. There are so many interesting varieties, but it takes over if you don't plant it in its own "island". Really spreads and is hard to get rid of if you decide to dig it up. Trust me on this one! Ugh, I'll never plant it in a mixed garden again! Unless you've got an area just for bamboo, I'd go with a very large container. You might run an an in the Wanted section of Craigslist too maybe. Someone might have some to give you, or barter for a totem maybe :-) DD, my next marriage is gonna be to a carpenter LOL, but a welder with a rig might qualify LOL. Just kiddin' of course. Luckygal, you'll have to share pics with us when your hubby gets around to your welding wish list. I've known lots of northern hillbillies ..... western ones too! LOL When I first got to southern Calif I thought it would be all cool and groovy people, this was the '70's. The first person I saw when we reached the beach and got out of the car was some redneck with his ciggarette pack rolled up in his white tee shirt sleeve! LOL Of course he probably came from somewhere around here lol .... Stoney, I love your natural trellis! I bet it was fun to make! I'm not familiar with bittersweet vines either, but I love how your trellis looks. Vickie, I agree about the movement in Stoney's natural trellis too. So free flowing .... And Clarejoe .... I love the bean trellis you've made! How smart and it looks great too! Very good way to reuse an old two seater frame! I like how it looks "older" too. Adds character. Just for the record, it doesn't have to be a hillbilly trellis, y'all LOL. I love all the trellises. Just thought that one I rigged up on my deck in 2006 was a bit ummmmmm "freestyle" for my historic neighborhood. Maybe they think I'm into witchcraft too LOL (for the newbies, when we did the Junk Train and it came to my house, my son-in-law from Mexico originally, thought I was into some kind of witchcraft hahahahahah) Is that a wart on the end of my nose?! LOL ~tenderlee

I am a certified Master Mechanic. I have installed Marmoleum in many residential applications. Most with some form of borders, insets, and/or custom design. It does cove very well and prolongs the life of the floorcovering in wet areas. This combines with being considered a green product as well. A few more dollars is definitely worth spending for what is considered a 40 year floor. Please consider my website; linomaster.com , flickr thefloorprow.com , or flooringinstaller.com whichever you may feel most comfortable with. Barry Carlton b

Not a sobber over anything, rarely cry at movies except an animal movie, but even then I manage to hold it in and just have tears. I am always too embarrassed to cry in public so I hold it back and get the worst headaches! lol I remember my mom and I went to a Lassie movie in the late 70's and neither one of us had a napkin or a tissue. We bawled, quietly, thru that entire movie and had to sit in there for a few minutes after to let our red eyes and noses calm down. Our sleeves were soaked! It was the one with Jimmy Stewart and just hearing the music of the soundtrack will make me tear up. It's a good one! lol I'm sorry, Nicole, but if I heard out-loud sobbing in a theater, I would think it was someone cutting up and I'd probably shoooosh them, not realizing they couldn't help it!

I don't think the Oslo to Bergen route is a particularly fast train. A quick look suggests the route to be 450-500km (just at or a bit less than 300 miles) done in 6 hours, so less than 60 mph. The French TGV model (that runs throughout much of Western Europe) regularly does long stretches at 300 kilometers per hour, just under 200 mph. The high speed rail beds are laser straight when possible with gentle curves. The route from Oslo to Bergen goes through a lot of valleys, has a lot of curves and turns, and most certainly wouldn't permit high speed. An interesting bit of trivia - when the high speed line between Paris and London (through the Channel Tunnel) was being laid out, the French were able to give priority under the law that permitted obtaining the needed land parcels to allow straight segments and high speeds. On the UK side, obtaining the needed land was not possible to the same extent and so the British segment from the Tunnel to London was less straight and had lower average speeds than the same train could travel on the French side. i don't know if that's changed, I haven't taken it in a few years.
