Konrad, that does make for a nice raised bed :) With having a large yard and well amended relatively weed free productive soil, I hadn't looked into using the bale method and had wondered why anyone would even bother ... though, last night I had watched several videos and my thoughts had changed as I observed the benefits to be had under certain circumstances and am now "almost" tempted to try it with some peppers, as I guess they do especially well when bale grown. Mmmm, I do have some two year old bales sitting at the back of my yard, but I'd be more inclined to do as Konrad's posted photo, because I'd like for the plants to draw the nutrients from the soil, rather than me having to be dosing the bales with fertilizer. Peppers require very good drainage and this would certainly provide for such and requires no carpentry skills of needing to cut and nail a bunch of boards together :)

I use a lot of snapware in my kitchen. I love them. I the largest size down to small spice bottle size. They are top quality. They are not dishwasher safe. My son learned this the hard way.

Naughty Kitty (I'm gonna have to ask particulars on that name, someday) and Iva Mae, Around here there's an agency that advertises that they recruit younger seniors who'll help older seniors to remain in their homes longer. By doing some cleaning and house maintenance, cutting grass/shovelling snow (or finding a young kid in the neighbourhood to do it), driving the person to medical services, shopping or church, advising them about issues that come up that confuse the older one, hook them up to a lifeline so that they can push a button in case of emergency, etc. I don't know how it works, whether the agency bills the client and pays the helper, or just charge a one-time fee to one (or both) and let them carry on from there. But they don't have any corner on the game. Thee's nothing to stop you from canvassing your neighbourhood looking for people willing and able to do such work, and folks needing the service, or asking local agencies for referrals, etc. You might find some such people by attending local seniors' centres. While you're making those calls, ask if there are some services that some regular families need - babysitting (or offering that service - at home is usually cheaper than daycare, plus usually more flexible, and with less hassle over a 10-minute-late pick-up), pet-sitting or -walking, house care when the family's on vacation, driving family members around, helping recent immigrants find their way around, helping SAHMs with certain skills find a way to put their skills to use at home for a local business, agency, etc. Ask also whether some of the people that you meet have services that they could offer to other neighbourhood families, e.g. electrical, plumbing, computer trouble-shooting, etc. Maybe give them your email address and ask for theirs, so that you can contact back and forth in case of other needs, later. If some are unwilling to give an impoortant email address, suggest that they get one from a free service provider just for that use if they like the idea. If you're acting as liaison between people where important services are used, e.g. house-sitting, the clients will want to know for absolute certain that the care-giver that you found in the community is trustworthy (and not nosey!). You'd need to learn how to search out such info on folks before you recommend them (or offer the name with no recommendation, probably). Perhaps some local businesses would like some oversight of their property but, (in that they don't run an airline), don't feel that they need a professional security outfit. Perhaps form a group for bereaved folks - widows, parents, families, etc. Perhaps a local church, library or community centre would offer no-, low-cost space, and you could charge a low fee per meeting. Or seniors (like the Old Farts' Club at Lambeth Church, Iva Mae). Or Moms' Morning Out with babes. Maybe build links with overseas to recruit people to come here as housekeepers, au pairs, etc. If people bring such folks in directly, sometimes they mistreat the guest workers, while if an outside agency facilitated their coming, if one family didn't treat the worker right, they could be moved to a different family and not get deported if they refused unfair/improper requests. It seems to me that there would be a market for an inter-city system to develop such a means for overseas people to come here for temporary work. Can others offer some other inspirational ideas? Once more - two heads are better than one. And half a dozen even better. Imagine the power that hundreds can develop! Good wishes for finding some interesting and lucrative (yet legit) things to do. I heard that they want a mood board. I am not sure what this means exactly. If I was a stylist, I would want to see my client in photos in everyday clothing, work clothing, dressy casual and dressy. Clothing and sizes are so difficult. I was just at Ann Tylor Loft. I wanted a new pair of jeans. I can wear from a 4 to an 8 there! How ridiculous. Tops can be XXXS, which is also absurd since they still go up to Large and sometimes XL. So even if the shopper would ask me what size I am at Loft, I really can't say. I guess they want you to give measurements of your body, will ask for weight and height which would help. Ded, in the example of my friend, they sent her a knit black and white stripe skirt. Something she would never even look at in a store. She wore it out to lunch with me during the summer. It was really cute. Luckily she has a top that complemented the skirt because not every top would look good with it. I read a blog and the writer did not like anything in three different orders except a pair of jeans. She felt the process was worthwhile since well fitting jean can be a challenge. in the case of my niece, (not sure which one she uses but I can find out) her buyer had her down. She sent very unusual dresses and they all fit. As I mentioned some she bought to keep. It's funny though. Since I do a lot of online shopping being petite, I sometimes feel like I am getting a mystery box because sometimes the colors and styles wind up being very different from the photos.
