Soundproofing two-family house

I gutted my two-family house (units are top and bottom). I'm looking to soundproof between floors and I'm a complete newbie when it comes to this topic.

I've read about installing clips in the ceiling, Green Glue, Quiet Rock and blown-in cellulose. I'm not sure which method would yield optimal results and also be the best bang for the buck. What should I do? Right now my ceiling joists are exposed and the electrician and plumber are starting their work.

Also, what should I do about plumbing to reduce sounds from the water pipes and toilet? Do I wrap the pipes? Install extra layer of cement board? Use a soundproof board on top?
