this link is the model number you gave Package Includes if you look in the pictures the black thing that has the cord that plugs into your pc usb port is the receiver which was asked about, this one has a large one that sits on the desk not a stick type. Your mouse does need to be in sight line of the receiver for it to get the signal properly so make sure that receiver has not been moved or covered up or out of line of sight of the mouse. Also they all have reset buttons on the mouse somewhere and on the receiver if they get out of sync you can go through the sequence for that model to sync them back up. It may just be time to upgrade to a newer wireless mouse. This seems to be the sync procedure for your mouse and receiver. If you experience trouble synchronizing a device to a receiver, try the following. Removing the batteries from the mouse or keyboard. Press and hold the Connect button on the receiver for 15 seconds. Re-insert the batteries into the mouse or keyboard. Press the connect button on the mouse or keyboard.

I usually say devices. It is very important to give all the information you possibly can because it becomes so difficult and extremely time consuming to try to research a remedy with little to go on. I think often the ones asking for assistance don't realize we may spend a significant amount of our time researching the problem for the best solution. If it saves any of us including the person asking time then give all you can from the beginning. As I told someone, I truly wish the answers just came magically falling out of my mind but unfortunately I don't have that power! It sounds like a "mechanical" problem, like some dirt or lint may be stuck under the pad. But check the "sensitivity" setting in case that's somehow been changed. Open Control Panel, then Hardware and Sound, then Mouse...try changing the sensitivity setting there. Otherwise, you may need to open the pad to clean under it, and I'll leave it to more knowledgeable people to tell you how that's done!

big_al, In Control Panel. Go to the Mouse Icon and Click on it. The Mouse Properties window will open. Click on the Pointer Options Tab at the top. In the Top Box; Motion, move the slider to the Left, a slower speed and see if that helps.
