I can do Dec 6 or 7. I am all booked up on the 13th and 14th. I think you should post a link to this thread in the discussions side..I don't know if everyone looks at the conversations.

If its a Saturday then I can request off anytime I wish so long as I give 2 weeks notice. Sundays are another story.

I only get one Sunday off per month and that would be Nov 30th-next one would be Dec 28th.

That being said I would love to do a Philly area get together!! Been awhile eh??

I am actually in the Philly area on Saturdays as I teach in the mornings at Temple Ambler. I haven't contacted anyone because to be frank I'm usually up all night Friday preparing for class so after teaching I need to head home ASAP to sleep. But I could maybe get together if I had time to take a little nap first. Or on a Sunday.

Certainly Peddler's Village would certainly be a fun holiday outing and the weekend of the 6th/7th is the Christmas Festival!

The other option is I would happily host it at my house any of the dates listed.

Great idea, Alexa! It would be a lot of fun to get together again, but I don't think I'll be able to make it this time.

Peddlers Village is a great place any time of year but during the holidays it just becomes magical...and crowded!! LOL!!
It might be a challenge to get a table and be allowed to linger after eating, suppose New hope would also be crowded as well.

If you wouldn't mind a drive into the city, I could host lunch. I have seating for 8-10 at my table!!
But you just never know if my house sells then I'll be out a here!!

Either way just let me know when you finalize the date.

Susie - that is so sweet of you, but with your house being on the market I woud hate to put you out with having to entertain when there may be an open house scheduled or something.

We can all certainly come to my house - lots of parking, plenty of room and I may even have all the summer stuff packed away by then!

Sun. works better for me that Sat., although I can come Sat. afternoon. I just need time to take a nap after my class ends at 12 PM. Last week I slept in my car because I was so tired I couldn't stay awake for the drive home! I was good to go by 3 PM!

I do but it's too far of a drive! I'm jealous of all you east coasters getting together all the time.

I'm sorry to say that none of those dates are good for me and I am really disappointed - especially if Alexa is cooking, you're all in for a treat. It would be a reunion of sorts and I hate to miss it. We had so much fun together the first time!

I can make it either Sat or Sun the 6th or 7th. Just e-mail me the date and time and directions to your house. Also I would be happy to bring something!!

oh how I wish I could be there. Having been hosted at Alexa's I can tell you she is a great cook and perfect hostess. Her DH and kids are just icing on the cake. Lovely folk.

BUT I sure hope you are going to Peddlers Village as well. Alexa took David , Woodie and I there, great cooking shop......but then there was the side trip to the other shop...LOL

I tend to be vey relaxed about entertaining and just go with the flow. Also - I will mention that I prefer snacks/tapas/nibbles to a full sit down lunch (otherwise I will want to take a nap and THAT isn't much fun LOL!) so how about if anyone wants to bring a snack/appy/thingy to share that would be awesome.

Also - about pressies.... I've emaaled with a few people and we all sort of thought that though we all adore each other, getting lots of gifts for everyone this close to the holidays will be difficult. Can we agree on either an upper spending limit or homemade or something like that?

The other possibility is we do a sort of secret swap - I can match up everybody and you only bring something for your particular person.

I am open to other ideas, but let me know what you think!

OH DRATS!!!

Looks like the one lady I "could" switch with has made plans on the 7th as well so I am left to just ask for the day off...being prime time its going to be a hit or miss kinda thing.

I am very bummed as this lady has asked for favors from me many time and I always oblige...time to start saying no to her!!

I will know for sure once the date nears...perhaps I can work early and just come to the get together a little late?

Did someone call my cell phone about this today? LOL I got a weird number that came up and looked familiar - I realized later it was from Doylestown but not from anyone I know there, and I live in New York now, so it was even more strange! Should have answered it. Oh well.
