However, if you read the Pet Forum on any sort of regular basis, you would discover that SG is a lunatic anyway, so it really doesn't surprise me at all.

Some of the other Forums here are too much. The most dysfunctional, and therefore entertaining in a sick way, is the Stepfamilies. Nothing but problems and contention. Think twice before marrying anyone with an existing family, especially teenagers.

In the Marriage forum, it seems the most popular topics are divorce, infidelity and lack of sex.

I'll just stick around here, thank you.

The Apartment Living forum has a lot of whinging that sometimes gets interesting. There doesn't seem to be a single person on there who is happy living in an apartment.

Once in a while I will venture over to other forums see what the dysfunctionals are up to; then I come away thinking "it sucx to be you". And I constrain myself from posting on the pet forum after I got blasted for trying to get advice on abandoned dog held up in a cage in the woods.

This is my "go to" forum; everyone seems "normal" until you meet them in person--just kidding.

Cathy I got blasted on the pet forum one time too. That's why I didn't go there with my saga on that kitten I tried to adopt. I felt bad enough going thru that and they would have made me feel worse.

Anyway when SG said "There are numerous humans here who have posted comments..... " - it left me wondering, do dogs and cats post there as well?

Like Annie mentioned before, we had a real fun group at the Tomatoes forum and then one or two bad apples showed up and although at times we had a lot of fun with these people it got to be too much. One of the members started his own website and everybody jumped over there and the bad apples were banned when they tried to join! Now everybody is so nice it borders on boring, but it's better than all the squabbling..and over what?..tomatoes! Jeesh. Ridiculous.

Holy moly, I've never wandered over to the marriage forum before. There are a lot of unhappy people over there. I closed the browser window feeling better about my life and very sorry for some of the people sharing their stories.

I think the reason we're so "well adjusted" here in the CF is cause we're well fed! :) I'm very glad to be here, thanks everyone!

With the elections I've been hanging out on Hot Topics (Garden side). It's not a bad bunch.

I always forget about Hot Topics. I'll have to remember to check in there. I also like the Reading Forum at Glyphs. They are a pretty tight knit group but certainly welcoming to the occasional poster like me. I've gotten a few good tips on books there and also some that were stinko, but book choice is very subjective.

Most of the other forums are just downright scary.

I started here 8 years ago on the Orchids forum until that one blew up. One member kept getting "disneyed" by Spike for selling stuff. Others carped at each other constantly about the "right" way to pot/water/divide/etc. orchids. Then others kept carping about newbies with repetitive questions. Finally a bunch of 'em just started another forum for themselves.

Who knew flowers could be such a loaded subject? But then again ,remember some of the blowups we've had here in lil ole innocuous Cooking, LOL!
