I didn't change any before bed ... got over half of mine changed within about a day. The one on the wall in the living room seldom provides an eyeful ... and the wall one in the kitchen needs a step-stool ... so it hasn't been done, yet. If there may be one on the (old) microwave ... I don't know how to set it: I doubt it, as there's no lighted numbers when it's not operating. The one in the car ... quit working, about a month ago - maybe, not liking the changing times ... it just decided to take a (prolonged) holiday. Hey! Maybe it could give us some pointers on how to arrange something like that for ourselves ... but, oh, right: I'm retired, so am on perpetual holiday ... ... well ... not quite perpetual: let's just say for as long as I draw breath. ole joyful

I thought this thread died and I'd made up my mind! You guys are very funny! I offered it for sale to the lady that is wanting to look through all of my Bombay stuff for her friend but I still do like it! I think that if she passes on it I will pack it away until 'the perfect' spot presents itself instead of putting it on CL, Ebay or the yard sale. It's just that I'm trying to clear all excess away (ie: out of the house) while I clear stuff out to sell. I DO like my silk hydrangea but I'm not wild about them in the silver vase. The proportions are wrong. And YES I do need a light on that piano! There's a particular style in black or ORB finish that appears every now and then on the Home Goods/ TJ Maxx - etc. circuit but I've yet to pick it up. I absolutely agree that I need something more low slung and horizontal. And that gives me an idea of something that I came across while clearing out the other day.......

I have several atomics and they work fine. Just have to be set up to the correct time zone and you're set. Then on the others it's just to remember whether I'm to "spring forward" an hour or "fall forward" 11 or 23 hours depending on the clock. Few of my clocks allow me to "fall backward". These days I carry the cell phone for setting clocks in the bathroom, kitchen, etc, to make sure they're accurate. Can't stand having a clock showing the wrong time.

I missed the time change last fall (or was it last spring?) I had started going "electronics free" on Sundays and Wednesdays. No Internet, no iPod, no television. Those are my two unplugged days. I will check my email, just in case anyone sent me a "real" email with family/friends news; I'll talk on the phone, read a book, or watch a DVD. But mostly I just stay away from anything with a computer function for those two days a week. I totally forgot about the time change that year and was so confused on Monday. I thought the computer was going bad. I remember it this year and got everything moved up an hour before I went to bed Saturday night. I have a desk clock that needs a new battery, and I've not been out to the car yet, but everything else is all good. - Bedroom alarm clock - Bathroom night light clock - Sewing room wall clock - Desk clock, waiting for a battery - Kitchen wall clock - Kitchen microwave(s) - Don't ask. - Kitchen stove - Kitchen timer - House phone; it didn't change itself? - Coffee maker - Three wrist watches - Vintage watch face that's still waiting for me to find the perfect strap for. Our two cell phone, two iPods, two atomic weather stations, and the computer set themselves. I have way too many clocks. I wish the oven, microwaves, coffee pot, and house phone did not have clocks. I'm one of those people that are driven mad if the clocks don't all show the correct time, at the same time.
