I wasn't clear enough. The tracks were all fine and would have played thru had I let them. However, I interrupted them by going to another track and then another after I listened enough to each one to satisfy my interest. While I was doing this, I soon realized that the tracks were disappearing as I clicked on the next selected track. This effect appeared to only happen with this album and in fact when I just now attempted to replicate more track loss, the remaining tracks would not disappear on this album either. Just before my initial post I had just checked that some random albums' tracks seemed to be complete and wouldn't disappear either. The lost tracks only occurred in one or two sessions with that one album. There is an extra issue. I have several cd albums that are listed under 'various' because the lead singer shared singing with some of her well known singing friends. This album is one of those, BUT I haven't lost tracks from a couple other 'various' albums I just checked (and had similarly scanned). If anyone knows where 'various' tracks go if they loose their association, they could be there I suppose. As usual, I hadn't thought to Google this issue until I posted. I found a 37 page active chat about this and similar track loss that began in 2009 and continues to the present. I suppose this could be a random general problem. I can always re-rip the cd but I was (and am) afraid that the problem will repeat. I am still wondering if I accidently clicked on some setting that hid the tracks so they wouldn't repeat and now should change a setting that will un-hide them.

Well........ you have to make a playlist first (the songs you want to put on the cd). You do that by clicking on the ones you're already downloaded in your list and 'moving them' over to where your new playlist is on the left side of the screen. Once done, you right click on the playlist and you should get the option of 'burn to cd'. Put your blank cd in the drive and click on 'burn'. Ta Da! Were you just 'testing' me Jodi? :) I don't really think the instructions I gave are very good. I think I left some parts out. I won't remember how I did it the next time I want to burn a cd anyhow, I'll be asking here again. lol

Names with particular meanings have been around for centuries. Two examples that come to mind are in the Bible. 1. In 1 Samuel the Ark of the Lord had been captured. "naff" is somewhere between tacky and cutesy. Putting seasonal outfits on the goose garden sculpture on the front porch would be naff. In the last couple of years, I have taught a Cierra, a Deja (whose last name rhymed with Vu), a Jevon, two Skylars, one a girl, and one, with an "er", a boy; two Gages and a Sage, all boys; a Meea, a Tory (boy) and Tori (girl), a Destiny and a Lorelai. Taylors, Tylers, Jordans and Morgans of both genders. My DD is Jillian, often mispelled Julian-for instance, on her letter reminding her she must register for the draft. Speaking of teenagers naming babies- Both my children were required in 9th grade to take "Family and Consumer Science" and one of the units was parenting-and they each brought home the "Think-it-Over" baby doll as a required project. They pick up the doll after school and have the "parent wristband" attached-and you can not take the wristband off-it is removed the next morning at school. This doll is programmed to cry at frequent intervals all night, and the student must figure out what the baby wants-rocking, feeding or changing-place the wristband plug in the baby plug, and start doing whatever it takes to make it stop crying-within 3 minutes. This is all recorded on a computer chip in its little plastic head. I repeat, this goes on all night long. Daughter brought hers home, did the project, returned it-no name, no "how cute"...whatever. Do it, get an A, move on. My son went to pick up his baby and was asked by his teacher if his parents would object to a baby that did not match him ethnically-she told me later he stared at her and said "it's a doll. Why would they care?" and off he and baby went to volleyball practice. (There were 4 of the babies at practice that night-apparently it was riotous and non-stop crying!) He named his J-Qwan and at 2 a.m. the crying woke me up (did I mention that it cries all night long?) I heard him shouting from the bathroom "I'm coming J-Qwan-can't a father even p**?" LOL! His teacher told me later that she had received a blistering phone call from a father whose daughter had come home with a baby that didn't match her ethnically, so she was told to always ask. For pete sake!
