What about a mid or dark grey quartz with little to no movement ? In my opinion, concrete as a countertop material is asking for trouble (it chips, cracks, stains and is etched by acids, that means etched by any personal care product.)

Why not have double mirrors/cabinets with a piece of trim between them and you could mount another light there? The trim could be incorporated into the window trim to tie it all together. Thanks! Agree about the floor and windows being too much. Consensus seems to be do the windows and not the floor. Budget and practicality may make me choose one over the other (ie I must change the floor but need not change the window). You can just see the windows in this picture (the two windows through the arched doorway). (This was the LR/DR will become master bedroom and ensuite): Everyone seems to prefer the look of the second vanity, so I will focus on doing something similar. My head was turned by the beauty of the first, but I will let it go and move on now. nosoccermom, I will have the trough, rain shower overhead and separate handheld. Haven't turned my mind to tile or solid surface in the shower, I'd love solid surface but I'm thinking I should do tile? Being that the hex tile is multi colored, I don't think anything would be a real issue. I would keep it sealed, however, being that it's natural stone. As for tile choices, that's a personal choice. I WILL say that several of my customers have done as you've suggested (shower walls and bathroom floor tile being the same).
