Sometimes it is more than just memory creating issues with downloading and buffering. Not too sure what you ADM 2.16 is but guessing it is the processor speed. Not too fast and with added memory and expense will still not be too fast. Any new memory bought for this computer cannot be migrated to a newer machine later on, yours is possibly DDR1 - maybe even SDRAM - and we now have DDR3 and the manufacturers make sure they are not interchangeable.

When I have buffering issues I simply open a second tab, start the download on the fist but pause it. Then I continue surfing on the second tab or even open a second Youtube video and bounce back and forth between them.

You may also be paying for a slower internet service or the bandwidth can be restricted.

Usually, as owbist has indicated, it is your internet connection speed (or lack of it) that causes this issue. I have to do as he suggested most of the time, especially during evening hours when my 3G connection is slowed by many users. I don't have a choice of a faster connection, so I've learned to put up with the annoyance and don't watch too many videos.

No more than I use/like YouTube, I plan on keeping everything like it is.
