Hello! We have a beautiful Swing model Sofa/murphy bed combination by Clei from Resource Furniture. It has been an absolute blessing/godsend in our mid-size apt to give my visiting stepdaughter a real room when she visits. Really has been completely perfect. But now what!?? We are moving out of our apt and 2,000 miles away from NY to a log cabin in the black hills in South Dakota. Clearly this won't go anywhere there, and the buyers of our apt don't want it. Does anyone have any creative solutions for me? The manufacturer has no interest, and I can't find any takers on craigslist or ebay because it needs knowledgeable installation/delivery. I'd certainly welcome any thoughts at all :-)

Fresh Mint Cake with Dark Chocolate Mint Frosting Use the first herbs of spring in this fresh mint cake with dark chocolate mint frosting for a simple and yet elegant treat. Prep Time, 20 minutes Cook Time, 20 minutes Total Time, 40 minutes Ingredients Fresh Mint Cake 2 Cups Unbleached, All-Purpose Flour 2 teaspoons Baking Powder ½ Cup Chopped Mint (1/2 ounce by weight) ½ Cup Butter, softened ½ Cup Sugar 1 Egg ½ Cup Milk Dark Chocolate Mint Frosting ⅓ Cup Milk ¼ Cup Chopped Mint (1/4 ounce) ½ Cup Butter, softened ¼ Cup Black Cocoa Powder 3 Cups Powdered Sugar Instructions Make the Cake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter & Flour two 8” round cake pans. Whisk together the flour and baking powder. Set aside. Cream together the butter, mint, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, and milk, mixing until incorporated. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and combine thoroughly. Divide and spread the batter among the two prepared cake pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on wire rack before frosting. Make the Frosting: In a small saucepan, combine the milk and mint. Bring just to a simmer (do not boil or scald). Remove from heat and cover the pan. Allow the minute to steep for 20 minutes. Strain the mint from the milk, pressing to squeeze out all the liquid. Let cool completely. Cream the butter slightly. Add the cocoa powder to the butter and mix well. Alternate a bit of the mint infused milk and powdered sugar and keep mixing until everything is incorporated and the frosting takes on the desired consistency. Spread on cooled cake. My son's fiancé is an RN at a long term health care facility. They have been in lockdown since March and had their first case two weeks ago in a patient. The virus was transmitted from an asymptomatic aide. There are now 19 patients and staff affected, with one death. My son's fiancé began experiencing a fever 6 days ago, and has tested positive. Thankfully her symptoms remain mild with minor body aches and fatigue, low grade fever lasted 3 days. She and my son live together. Two days ago he started feeling ill with totally different symptoms of a body rash and headache. That is what's so frustrating about this virus, it can affect people so differently. He was tested on Friday and should hear within 3-5 days. Being that his fiancé is a health care worker, her test was expedited and she was notified within 24 hours. Terilyn and Jewel, I'm hoping symptoms remain mild and all have a quick recovery. Hugs!

i doubt the cactus mix has anything to do with it ... but if you think it does.. remove it.. it cant really be attached much..just dust/brush it off ... water a plant when it needs it ... and not sooner ... i water my houseplants maybe every ten days.. i cant imagine watering 2 or 3 times per week ... the surface moisture is irrelevant ... you might be on the verge of loving it to death ... the only reason you did all you did.. was because you saw a root on the surface ... so what ... a plant puts its roots where it wants/needs them ... most often.. it doesnt need fixing .. you offer no observations of the plant suffering in any way .... i dont quite understand about the gravel.. is there a drain hole or not ... is the gravel below the pot .. or in the pot ... how about you give us a pic or two.. use the camera/photo button below the box you type a reply in ... also.. its a plant.. not a child.. it doesnt not need constant feeding ... and i wonder if you are over feeding it ... though i doubt that has any impact on anything going on here ... just call a redo..and get rid of the extra soil ... water it properly.. and leave it alone ... ken
