AZ, I understand what you are saying, but Emma makes a lot of sense. If users are not prepared for progress we would all still be using Commodores or in the least Win3.1. We have a whole bunch of Dell XP SP2 systems in our building. Six in our office alone. Ours are going to be replaced by a governmental entity due to security, non-MS software demand, and future anticipated expansion. You can bet many of the other offices will have to replace their systems via their budget as their offices have systems integrated for use with our data. And, we did survive without a burp when we switched from Win98 and Win2000 to WinXP. Bobbie, Hope you are sitting down. You know how I was dragged kicking and screaming into the post Win98 era as I loved my Win98 system. And, yes you know I love my Vista system even more and have defended it for all the bad publicity it received. My plans right now is to buy a entry to mid-level laptop with W8 just so I can play. See why I said I hope you were sitting down. Even though I think there is way too much going on now with the Internet, and can only guess as to what the future will bring we users have a choice. Be part of it or allow it to pass us by. Do I think everyone with a W7 should race out and purchase a W8? Of course not. However, two generations of O/S behind could become the future limit. DA

you would just have to get a wireless router to put in your set up that would allow you to move about your home freely and use your laptop, as long as it is set up properly with the correct security settings you are good to go. Your cable would go to the wireless router then you can still plug your desktop into the router as a wired connection and use the laptop's wireless access. There are many that are much more knowledgeable about this than I am however so I will let them help you out. PS I agree with you on the MSI wind being the best option, I have been looking at the netbooks for a while now as each new one comes out and comparing, and speaking to friends that own various ones, all that has led me to the MSI wind, now if only I had the extra cash to spend on a new toy, but since I just got a new vehicle and new furniture and have like 5 computers guess what is not on the gift list LOL

Hi Pam, Another option may be to create a sub-folder OUTSIDE of your My Pictures folder and move all pictures that are not in your album into the new folder. I don't really speak iPod, but I assume that when you synch, the iPod will only pull photos from the My Pictures folder. Another Pam

I don't see this applying to mp3 players. The Apple iPod series has the largest share of the market, and iPods come at a considerable price premium over the average player. That is true, but I really was talking about the music format itself. Most folks who deal with sound professionally will rightly tell you that MP3 is not a high-fidelity format. It sounds good, but it's not high-fidelity. If they can manage to make a shallow CRT that offers the same sharp picture and color saturation as a "regular" CRT and do so at a price less expensive than an equivalent LCD/plasma, then I agree that they have a winner. But price it too high or make it much thicker/heavier than LCDs and I think it will be a much tougher sell.
