Picasa and iPod question.......

I am fairly new to both so probably don't know what I'm talking about. I have a feeling I can't do what I want to do, but here's my question. :)

I have made an album in Picasa and would like to sync the photos in that album to my iPod. I understand that the Picasa folders are the same as folders on my hard drive and that if I change a folder in Picasa, it will also change on my hard drive. Can I make the album into a folder without changing the existing folders?

I hope this is clearer than mud. Thanks!

The photos I want to sync are already in My Pictures on my hard drive...I was just hoping to be able to sync a particular group of them (the album I created)without getting everything else in the folder. I appreciate your reponse. :)

susieq, I tried the site, didn't work. Thought I'd download Internet explorer,and try picasa from that. (using google chrome usually). that didn't take either. something must be stopping the downloads. ??

I understand, and that's fine. I always recommend manufacturer's websites and dedicated forums as first tier research during the self-help process. Their FAQs and thread search history quite often resolve a user's concern. If needed a second tier research on Google often surprises users as to what they can learn and remediate on their own. No, nothing shows up except that there will be a small star on the bottom right corner of each starred photo. You can filter so you see *only* the starred photos by clicking on the star in the filters section, which is toward the center top of your Picasa screen.

Yes but then the pictures are fuzzy. With all other pictures you can crop before exporting. You crop and the photo will remain almost the same size and fill up the picasa screen. When I crop one taken in sports mode it imediately goes to a real small picture.

Hi Pam,
Another option may be to create a sub-folder OUTSIDE of your My Pictures folder and move all pictures that are not in your album into the new folder. I don't really speak iPod, but I assume that when you synch, the iPod will only pull photos from the My Pictures folder.

The premise of your idea is good. I did some reading and iPod will sync photos from Adobe Photoshop Elements (which I have). I'm off to see if I'm smart enough to do it. Thanks so much!
