I am always really impressed with what Google offers for free like Picasa. Similar programs you have to buy rarely release decent patches to fix known glitches, and you have to pay to get new features with the next version. With Picasa they are always adding new things. If you have problems there are pretty active official forums to read and post questions to. The program developers actually monitor the forums to try and fix problems, and get ideas for new features. I'm glad people are finding out about it, and I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it.

Hi Kat. I've had picassa for a few years now. I really got confused with the software it installed on my PC, partly on how I chose the folders for it to use (which was way too many) and couldn't figure out how to change it. But did manage to get it to work to upload pics once in awhile. But I much prefer just going to the website and choosing to upload from there. Have you tried that? I bookmarked the main page: https://picasaweb.google.com/home. Try going here and logging in, and see if you find that easier to browse to your albums and upload things. I did join up with google+ finally (they kept prompting me to, and I kept ignoring it. But my sister joined and then added me to her google+ circles, so finally took the plunge! It does change things a bit, so some getting used to). Anyway, what you'll find if you are a google+ member is that the above url will change to 'https://plus.google.com/photos/114258480802796606590/albums?banner=pwa'. But other than that, seems pretty much the same. Hope you get it figured out! Marj

susieq, I tried the site, didn't work. Thought I'd download Internet explorer, and try picasa from that. (using google chrome usually). that didn't take either. something must be stopping the downloads. ??

I am not a photo aficionado, but I do use Picasa along with Irfanview. In the few issues that I needed help with Picasa I found their Help file user friendly. It is actually on-line with the Toolbar entry only a portal to it. In your case, it took me all of three clicks of the mouse to find the answer to your question. When you have time you may want to visit the site and become familiar with it so it can help you when you need quick answers. DA
