No idea on Picassa but saving the pics from the email is easy enough.

Assuming they are attached you right click on the first attachment then click 'Save all...' - a new window appears offering to save them probably into your My Pictures folder. Accept that then transfer them to the Picassa program as you have the others. Does that help?

Yes, I have done that and finally got them into My Picture folder, but I cant seem to get them into Picasa. Thanks any how for answering.

Will try to help you the way I do it.

Go into Picasa and at the top left, there is a button that says export. This will give you a drop down box and select "folder" there. I then go into documents as that is where "My Pictures" are located. Click on the ones you want to transport to Picasa and you will see them show in the little box below. Hit the button that say Import and they will go go Picasa. There may be a much easier way(probably is), but find I can go it this way. Good Luck!

Made a boo-boo! The button at the top says to import instead of export. You can transfer 1 picture or several at a time or even a file within the "My Pictures" file.

Click on pic and the box the pic is in will turn blue. If you want more just hold down the control button and they will show in the box below pics. Then hit the import down on the right side. They will go to Picasa. My very favorite place for pictures. Hope I haven't confused you too much. It is hard for me to convey directions.

Any pictures I save to my computer go to Picasa 3. After opening Picasa, you will see the little pop up in the lower right corner showing that they are being copied. Sometimes it's hard to find them, but following Texaspanhandler's instructions will allow you to find them.

Your help is greatly appreciated but since I have Vista and Picasa 2 is now Picasa 3, I dont seem to get the results that I want and that is for the pics to go into my new Picasa. They always went in when I was using Picasa 2.............Grace

Grace, did your settings for which folders to scan get changed? In Picasa, go to File, then Add Folder to Picasa. A box called Folder Manager shows list of folders on your computer and you can choose which ones to have Picasa automatically scan to show the pics in Picasa. This will get them into Picasa with no effort on your part. Hope this makes sense.

For those with Vista who also use Picasa, why do you use Picasa? I am not suggesting you shouldn't but I am curious because you have Picture Gallery installed and it seems to do the same things as Picasa. Or does it? I do not have Vista but have seen it on a couple of computers I have worked on.

Thank you all very much for your help. I will have to wait until I get another e-mail with pics attached to see what happens. It can be very frustrating when you cant put you pics where you want them in Picasa. I did not have this much trouble with Picasa 2.
