If you have your jpeg files in a folder, then just open up your folder and go to view and put a dot in the one that you want to use. You will have to do this for each folder where you have jpegs. I have always done this and had no problems with them going back. Now if there is another way I wouldn't know. I have always put my jpegs in a folder, open the folder and then click on view and put the dot where I want it. thirdfrt!!!

trying to decipher this folder options in control panel> do you mean how does one open the individual folders that appear in the control panel area? If so you double click on them. If you mean actual folder options then click on tools up at the top of control panel and then folder options to select what you want there. Or it could be the view of control panel was changed to category view over on the left you can change that. Or if you look up at the top there is a small icon for views with a drop down > beside it where you can change the appearance of the actual items in control panel. also up at the top is the folders button you might try. If none of this helps please let us know exactly what you are trying to accomplish what has changed etc for us to be of more assistance.

Messenger & MSN browser have check marks .. so they are installed. You sort of did things backwards. Just browse and expand that list and put a check mark next to your Games & they'll come back. As you notice more things that don't work.. browse that again and add checkmarks. Usually nothing in there is required - all sort of optional stuff that is enabled when it does have a check mark to the item wanted. So uncheck your messenger and MSN browser & they'll go away & use a few less memory and cpu resources and save a few drive bytes.
