Terri_pacnw -- Can I visit you too?

I'll be in the Pacific Northwest for the next 16 days. I'm not sure exactly which days we'll be in Seattle, other than Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. After that we plan to travel around Seattle, Victoria, Vancouver Island, San Juan Island, ONP, and down to Portland. It's just me and my kids until next weekend when my DH will be joining us. Will you be around? Should I ask for you at Starbucks or the Ferry like Ellen did? LOL

BTW, I know that your kids are into theater, so don't miss the Shakespeare Under the Stars on San Juan Island (Roche Harbor)! I recommend the Fodors books on Seattle and on Washington. Lots of great info!

Here are two recipes for sugar free sweetened condensed milk: MYO Sugar Free Sweetened condensed milk Ingredients: 1 1/3 cup Nonfat dry milk powder 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup splenda Directions: In glass measuring cup stir together milk powder & water till it's a paste. Cover and microwave on high for 45 seconds or until hot but not boiling. Stir in Splenda. Recipe #2 Ingredients: 1 can (12 ounce size) evaporated skimmed milk 1 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk powder 1/2 cup Splenda Directions: Combine in a large bowl. Mix thouroughly. Chill. Keeps up to a week. This recipe for Sugar-Free Sweetened Condensed Milk serves/makes 3.5 cups

Terri, We're still working out our itinerary, so I'm not yet sure when we'll be up your way. We are headed down towards Mt. St. Helens in the morning -- I'll give you a call some time tomorrow or Friday and maybe I'll have a better idea of what we are doing.

Okie Dokie. :0> I will be on the 'mainland' all day Saturday for Football. But Sunday is wide open..and summer school is done tomorrow...so next week is wide open too!

Terri,
I haven't forgotten you -- just haven't had phone or email for a week. We lost coverage when we got to the Oregon Coast. From there we drove up to Olympic National Park and still were without coverage (I have Verizon phone and Verizon mobile broadband). The Verizon map showed coverage for all of those areas, as well as Victoria, but we didn't have it.

Anyway, we are now in Parksville, BC and plan to stay in BC until Monday. I'll give you a call as soon as we have coverage again, but I'll keep updating you here in the meantime.

I'm on Verizon too..so atleast once you do get coverage back we can talk for "free"..LOL
