with 3 young boys I really wanted a urinal in my house, space doesn't allow it and my husband thinks it's a terrible idea. When I dream about installing one I think of all the clean up it would save. Though my boys are being trained to clean up after themselves - I think my 89 yr old is pretty good at it but my 5 yr old and training 2 yr old are not nearly as efficient as necessary. mommielady, it was heaven.. : ) It was a very small resort, with only about 13 cabins/huts, right on the ocean. The windows had no glass, only shutters, the floors were scrubbed wood, the beds had mosquito canopies (although I don't recall any mosquitoes) and you were lulled to sleep by the rush and ebb of the tide.....there were also tuberoses planted everywhere and the combination of salt air and fragrance was as intoxicating as a glass of champagne! The "bathroom" was at the back of my cabin....walled in by the high bouganvillea and other plants that literally created a ten foot wall....the shower was right there, the floor was pebbles and I just remember looking up to get my hair wet and there was the moon. Wow, I never wanted to leave this place...... Ivette

Have you talked with the glass installers? It seems that would be a good place to start. Also, the glass company I'm working with gave me a catalog to look at handles. Other parts of the catalog have all sorts of interesting pieces that are meant to be used in interesting scenarios like yours. There was a 90degree Polycarbonate Strike Jamb pieces which says it's 'designed to seal between the door and the fixed panel on a 90degree enclosure. Attach to the fixed panel on the strike side." My point is that I bet they have seen this situation before and can give you some options. I think you could do a thick piece between the tub and shower that extends a few inches beyond the tub. Then hinge the door to that piece. Then have a fixed piece of glass on the short side. The door and the short side close at a 90degree angle. But that's just an idea. I'm not a professional, nor have I actually done my own shower yet.

I wish I knew. I am always looking at stuff online and that is where I found it. I will try to find it for you. It was rounded instead of flat and very shallow. Dare I say pretty? I was kicking myself for not seeing it before this top brace went in. It's not bad it's just that our shower guy wasn't the best...he had to come back three times and my husband is the one who finally fixed. When it was first installed the door was so tight it would screech when you opened it, sort of scary. Then he had the piece remade and went overkill in the other direction so that it had 1/4" or more gap and water just streamed out during a shower as the head unfortunately faces the door. I did not want this bull in a china shop guy here any more as he always seemed to ruin something else on his way out so that is why my husband fixed it. He centered the door so that there is equal distance on each side but it's still not right. OY VEY! All the while this shower door guy is telling me what a master he is at what he does.
