That would be me. I crashed the whole computer. I called Microsoft, and after six calls, they took responsiblility, and put me on the phone with data retrieval, and after a week of phone tag, we were able to retrieve all my files from my dead computer, and then reinstall my operating system and then put all files back into their places. At first they told me all was lost, and to just reinstall Windows XP and that all my files were gone. This was not so. But, I still don't have SP2 installed. The tech told me to read the link below and follow the instructions of what to do BEFORE I install SP2 . I have been "vewy vewy afwaid" to attempt it. you should be able to simply go to the file name of the doc and right click on it and select delete file you can do this where ever the file resides on your pc.

I agree with azinoh here. This is a valuable gift and who can say what you might get up to once you retire and all that spare time on your hands. Seriously, this is a nice offer not to be ignored. Remember you can always delete it later but you cannot install what you have refused to accept.

No apology is necessary. I'm not a forum sheriff or anything like that. Do whatever you like. I'm just suggesting that it's good form (and common courtesy) to write internet forum comments using proper punctuation and proper language. Everyone makes mistakes and misspellings, that's no problem, but cutesy language and someone's idea of humor or clever abbreviations can turn reading into a drudgery. People come here to help and to learn, Unless I see a particular item to be of immediate interest, I personally avoid comments that require more than normal effort to get through. I'd guess I'm not alone with that. Most people will avoid a post in all caps, or with run on sentences and poor punctuation, or colloquial words or abbreviations, or whatever. Do as you like, I'm just suggesting you consider things from a reader's perspective if you make a post asking for help. The various random utilities you have that you found interfere with one another suggest taking a different approach. If you delete all these and install one good anti-virus program, you'll have better protection and no operating problems. Again, do as you like.
