Personally I don't think grafting is necessary.I don't believe there is any JM,even Bloodgood that won't become a multi stemmed plant.All the ones you see around you are probably traditional tree shaped but will have had considerable 'interference' from the grower to achieve this. Yes it's possible to increase the stems,though I think it may be too late in the season to get much response now.If you were to keep the plant really small,come spring before it leafs out you could prune back to where you want the first division then as soon as the 2pairs of new leaves appear,pinch out the tiny growing tip between them.This will then double the branches and repeat and so on.Alternatively I have a seedling which I stuck in a window box.Each spring I cut back to the first pair of buds on each branch/stem,and it doubles each year. but grows profusely in between.Now it has about 16 stems/branches. Now you have to remember that(especially with Bloodgood)all these stems will eventually get several inches thick.Although it may look quite open with well seperated stems when small,you can imagine if I were ever to put this plant in ground and leave to it's own dedvices,16 stems all trying to get several inches thick within 1ft from the ground is going to result in not only a structually unsound tree but also the middle of the tree will probably die off as it gets impossible for the plant to keep these stems 'piped up'. If you're gonna keep it small then by all means play around.However if it's to go in the landscape I think even Bloodgood will produce more stems than is desirable if left to it's own devices.You have to remember this plant will get quite big in every dimension.

I have a very strong bias toward metal filing cabinets w/ full-extension, heavy-duty drawer slides. The functionalit is SO very important if you use them in any frequency. Whatever you do, don't get something with 3/4 drawer slides--only get full-extension. Paring down and being serious about how often you access them might help you. In your situation, if you can splurge a little, I might suggest getting lateral filing cabinets. Except that, yes, they're all letter/legal (that Catalina one is nice!), and 18" deep instead of 14" or something. But if you do have a storage room somewhere, that's where I'd move the filing cabinets to. It sounds like you don't really need rapid and frequent access to that material. I use my filing cabinet as a pedestal on a desk.

Update - I needed to create another slide show earlier this month. Again, I wanted something simple to create, because it's for a one-time presentation with over a hundred slides. I discovered that the slideshow option on the Win10 OS works fairly well and has one big advantage: if my folder has both images and videos, it will show both, in the proper order. There are few user-changeable options, including displaying filenames, but it works. Simply put all the slides and videos in one folder, open the first one, right-click on it, and select slideshow. The only problem was that Win10 is on my desktop computer, so I just carried it to the restaurant where the presentation was being held. I would still like to find a program which would automate the entire process. My ideal problem would be for me to create a file which has a list of all the files. I would load Command Prompt, go to the folder which has all the files, and type "dir/b > filelist.csv". This will create a comma separated file which lists all the files, one per line. I would add additional information to each line, such as a title and perhaps a time interval. I could do this all in Excel. But I need a program which would use this file to read each of the images (one at a time) and display the image with the title for the time selected. I don't know of any program which would do this. ???
