The plastic is held down at the top 2 by 4. On the outside of the structure, I have the plastic sandwiched between the 2 by 4 and a 1 by 2 furring strip. The 1 by 2 is screwed to the 2 by 4 every 12 inches. Next year I am going to go every 6 inches. During the fiercest storms we had, the plastic did pull up and ripped. It wasn't bad. I just unscrewed the 1 by 2 and pulled it back tight. When I take the plastic off this winter, I am going to take it to my school or church and unfold it and tape any holes. That way it will be ready for next spring. I got the plastic, Klerk's K-50 from Stuppy's Greenhouse and Supply in Kansas City. We have to go to KC every 6 months for our daughters check up with the doctor there. I was excited to find them and they are only 1.5 miles away from the hospital we visit. With the plastic, shop around and pick it up if you can. The roll I get weighs 92 pounds. I am guessing it would cost alot to ship. Also, the price was cheaper if I picked it up and paid cash. I did get pictures taken this week of some of the features I am talking about. I will share them later. My wife downloaded them on another computer and shut it off. Thanks for the complements! Jay

Thanks everyone. I did try to disable the programs Owbist recommended from the startup. It suggested I reboot - which I did, but it also said that access was denied and I might have to log in as the system administrator to make some of those changes. I have no idea how to log in as system administrator. This is my computer and I'm the only one who uses it, but a computer tech guy did set it up for me a year ago - and I don't know if he set me up as administrator or not. How can I check this out. [This is a separate question, but may be related. I think I need to log on as system administrator and secure my network - and find out my network's name and password. Again, I don't remember setting this up - but perhaps the tech guy did and asked me to pick a password and name - I think I would know which password I would have picked if he asked me. He might have had me type it in. I'm having trouble keeping my new laptop connected - and it is asking me the name of the network and other information. Sorry - I probably shouldn't ask this here, but I think it's related to logging on as system administrator]. Anyway, now when I start the computer, I have to go through a series of prompts to acknowledge that this is not the default start up. So this isn't saving time to get up and running. I'm sure there's another way to do this. I don't think I use real player - but how would I know what I use if I'm on a site like Amazon or Youtube and listen to a clip/video. If I'm not using realplayer, is there a default windows media player (I vaguely recall this) that gets used. Which is the best default music player to have? Is there any reason I would want to keep realplayer? Can I always get it later for free if I realize later I want it? Ravencajun - I do have revouninstaller and got a list of programs on the pc. But I don't know how to view what starts at boot up? When i tried to press "Hunter" mode, it just exists revo uninstaller. I was able to click on the programs and see that there are other probably useless ones - like netzero, earthlink set up files, - but when I click the link to google them, many sites state it's crapware and should be removed, but yahoo answers said best to leave it and be sure. So I don't know and haven't yet figured out how to get revo uninstaller to make suggestions. If I have revo uninstaller, would the WinPatrol still be good to run in addition? Can you tell me what you mean by disbling some of the startup programs in services rather than in msconfig? Not sure how to do that. Thanks. Lynn.

Maybe you could download a bootdisk and make a bootable floppy then you should have access the C: drive. If it doesnt start to a dos prompt you'll need to access the bios and set it so it looks to boot from floppy drive (FD) before Hard Drive (HD). This guy has a boot floppy exe that you download, then insert a floppy before running it and it automatically formats and makes a 98SE bootfloppy. I havent used this, he was first one that turned up in a search. It's hard to believe it wont let you get to a dos prompt. Have a feeling you've a loose wire or connection inside. I usually hold off on any chlorine till it gets to 1X brushing/day. Then I start to use Clorox. Start at 1 pp, for a day or two then go to 3. Add some sequesterant, specifically Jack's Purple Stuff. It will prevent the manganese from falling out of solution. Thanks to goyom for the heads up about the manganese. Keep on the pH, daily for the first week. Use the calculator to determine the amount of acid to bring the pH to the 7.2 to 7.3 range. You will be amazed at the amount of acid the pool will need. It will settle, I promise. After two or three weeks, when the dust starts to ease when brushing, check the calcium hardness level. If it's soft fill water, it may be low. Pre-dissolve it in small batches in a 5 gallon pail. No more than 2-5 lbs per bucket of water. It will make the water quite warm. We use a less pure form to melt ice in the Winter. Stir it well. Twice. Then pour around the pool, mostly in the deep end. If there is some in the bottom of the bucket, add more water and stir it again. I use a wood or fiberglass handle to stir. By the time you are done, you will be glad it doesn't break down in the sun. The only way calcium leaves is by dilution. It's like salt. Scott
