I just came over here to mention the same thing!

I'm using Firefox 3.5.1 on Win XP.

Other sites seem to operate just fine. I'm thinking it must be some combination of this site (GardenWeb) and FF, because GardenWeb seems to operate as expected with IE7.

Upon further examination: left click on ''back'' must be clicked twice to move back one page.

Mine is doing the same thing. Thought something was wrong with my mouse too, but its only on GW. It works fine on other sites.

Yes I see that too and the second instance has the text very small.

Yes, owbist, I have noticed the change in text size too. My screen seems to open a fraction of a second at the larger text size and then jerk upwards about one line and open for serious at the smaller text size. Must really concentrate to see it.

Bloody, rather minor, annoyance.

I've been having this problem also! I haven't realized that it was only on GW pages until I came here to check into another problem I'm having.

That could be, grandms. I haven't tried Opera, but it works fine in IE. Firefox in combination with this site seems to be the problem. Who do we contact? Anyone know?

Grandms, after reading your post I tried both IE and Opera and the problem does not exist there, everything works normally.

After updating FF to 5.1, my back buttons do not work properly on any site. I have to double-click to go back a page. I hunted around and found it is a bug related to some of the add-ons. I ran Ff in safe-mode and the problem disappears. I haven't had time to figure out which add-on is the problem.

Try running FF in safe mode and see if the problems clear up.
Programs- FireFox- run in safe mode.

I have the same problems, but I find if I hold the click a few seconds it does work the first time. I also have the duplicate problem, but had not noticed the problem because I don't do the right click there.

The problem went away for me after I updated to the latest version of the Firefox addon "NoScript."

I disabled all add ons and still had the problem. Upgraded 'NoScript' and it's gone. Thanks camp56.

I took the advice to try safe mode...unfortunately, it still won't go back with one click. It does work, as stargazzer suggested, to hold the "click" for a second or so.

I have the java and java script addon that someone recommended and clicked on the JS to disable and the problem is gone. Works like a charm.

I haven't upgraded FF yet; still using 3.0.10. I didn't have No Script, so I added that and now NO DOUBLE click.

I'm guessing if I get the latest FF, I will have to double click.

What are the advantages of the latest upgrade? I've gotten the Alerts, but haven't bothered to get it.

Upgraded with 'NoScript 1.9.7' and the problem is gone.

I downloaded the No Script addon and thought all was well until I went to Flickr. I can't view it. I disabled the No Script and it will open, however, I still have the double click problem.

I'm thinking of going back to the previous version of FF. If I do that, will I lose all my toolbar favorites, bookmarks, etc? Also, would I just download the older version, make sure everything works and then use add/remove to get rid of the 5.0?

Pam, there is a learning curve with NoScript. In the bottom right corner of your screen there is a blue "S" with a red mark across it when a script is blocked. When you go on Flickr, right click on that blue "S" and choose the option you want to use on Flickr. You can choose to "always allow" or "temporarily allow" either the whole website, or just portions. This program will provide you with a lot of protection on the internet, you just have to get adjusted to how it operates.

I spoke too quick, I have to double click on GW even in safe mode. I don't have NoScript but updated all the others Adblock, Flashblock, IE tab and Java Quick Start. I disabled them all and I still have to double click.

I read that once installed, you can't go back to older versions of Firefox.

Hi everyone --

We're still working on the issue. It looks like they may have isolated the back button problem (it hasn't been pushed live yet), but still can't nail down the incredible shrinking font. I've been using the most updated version of FF for the last few days and still haven't run across it. If anyone else is still having that problem, please send me a screenshot of the small font.
