Howdie everyone!
Its been a long while since I've posted...
Jeez where do I start??
Let me start with an update on Stephen and Charles.
Charles did graduate on time and walked with crutches to receive his diploma. He gets tired alot but he plans to start trade school in a few weeks-right on time! He is waiting for the dental surgery which will take place once his face completely heals.
Stephen is home, he was released 3 weeks ago and is doing remarkable! He uses a walker to get around.
He has a long road ahead but tries to walk unassisted a few extra steps each day.
Just 4 1/2 months ago I was asking for prayers that they were able to save his legs and here he is walking! Brings a tear to my eyes!!
He plans to go back to work in a few weeks.
The kid who hit him has asked for a continueance (sp??). However it looks like he'll most likely get 9-12 months or 18-24 months in jail. I have faith the judge will do what has to be done as far as jail time. Regardless he'll have record that will follow him for life...he'll have to live with that.
The kids are good. Amy is taking accelerated classes this summer in hopes to be able to transfer to St Joe's her junior year. They do have the best business program by far.
Drew is floundering this summer...he needs to find a job but so far no one has called. Call it growing pains but its been a tough few months for him...caught between being a kid and being a man.
Not sure if I mentioned it before but we need to move. Our neighborhood have been on a downward spiral for the last few years. WE have just a few small tasks to complete before we list the house...prob be up once the kids go back to school which is a good thing since the bad eliment...the unsupervised gangs of children, will be out hanging out less (hopefully) so I can show the house. Gosh I am so torn about this move! I really LOVE my house but I do not feel safe here any longer. But how do I dress it up so someone will buy it?? I feel deceptive in a way. Frank says lets just let the realtors do their job...let them spin it LOL!!
WE've been out looking at neighborhoods. Looks like we will be going out of state to find what we want. I found a really nice section of Gloucester county NJ...well actually several nice sections LOL!! The houses are affordable but the taxes are crazy!!
I really never thought I could actually afford to move into a single home but the prices are that good! I guess the taxes make up the difference.
All in all it looks like I will be a Jersey Girl in the next year!!
My cooking style is hit or miss this summer...trying to work as much as possible so we've been eating a lot of pasta and easy fix things.
I have been working out just about 4 days a week. I am up to 30 miles on the bike!! The city to shore bike run is in Sept so I doubt I'll be ready this year...so perhaps next year if all goes well!
I have very little back pain now. I don't even wear my back brace anymore so this whole fitness thing is paying off!
I feel a lot better at 42 then I did at 32 let me tell ya!!
So thats me in a nutshell these days! Busy Busy Busy!!
Cheers!
