I am not sure how it works with stores but for regular fees if you maintain a very high detailed rating score of 4.8 the will lower your final ending value fees by 15 percent with the discount if you can get it plus the free gallery it is not so bad of a deal. With the discount for me it actually works out to be a ok deal as I use gallery on every single auction I run. Also hopefully it will get sellers to improve there customer service and general selling practices.

Have you tried rebooting your computer...ie turning it off, and then restarting it? Have you cleared your recent history? With Mozilla, go to the top and click on Tools Then you hopefully will see something like Clear Recent History Under time range to clear, choose everything and put checks in all of the boxes. Hopefully that will do it....at least for Mozilla Sue

Wow - you all are making me feel like I have a lot more Valentines this morning! Red hit the name on the head, I realized. I buy things 'within a certain parameter', and that is why they work. I can swap things out from room to room, and they take on a new light when they are moved. I guess it says that I have 'flow', since I am able to do that. :-) Cooperbailey, my mother jokingly calls me house 'the museum', as I do enjoy old things so much. anele has almost discovered my secret business name! My 3 dogs DO participate in the production of anything I sew. When I used to lay fabric on the floor in here, you could count on 3 dog butts quickly gathering and weighting it down while I tried to match patterns, etc. And that was the previous generation of my 3 other Brittanys. Now that I cut on the kitchen island, all these can do is lay on the fabric as it drapes onto the floor from my lap as I sew, and believe me, they do. Among friends and family, I said I'd call it 'Dog Bottom Decor'! My 3 Dogs Designs is a MUCH nicer image. Here is the front window this AM. I had to close the blinds to take a picture against the light outside. Since you all know that I am of the 'more is more' school, this is the front of my 10x25 living room, with my wonderful Romweber entertainment center purchased years ago on sale. I took a quick inventory this AM, and of all the 'stuff' in the room, that piece, 2 chairs and 3 lamps and 2 art pieces are the ONLY pieces not bought on CL, eBay or a local consignment shop. I can't resist showing you the sweet toddler picture of my late Dad, who passed away 3 years ago today. My mother gave it to me recently, and I looked around and set it on the Chinoiserie desk, never dreaming that I'd soon make drapery panels that would compliment his outfit!

Regardless of how ebay charges their fees, the seller has to make a profit. And the buyer always knows, BEFORE buying, what the shipping will cost. IOW, the buyer can decide, based on total price including shipping, if they want to pay that much or not. I don't give a hoot if the seller charges a penny for the item and $10 for shipping or $10 for the item and a penny for shipping. Either way, my bottom line is $10.01. Now, the only difference is what the seller owes ebay. And as a buyer, again, I don't give a hoot. I'm either willing to pay $10.01 or I'm not. I don't go into a store and ask what their markup is. I decide if I want to pay the price or not - whether that item is worth that amount to me. The seller's costs are immaterial to me. Believe me, whatever those costs are, they get passed on to the buyer. Whatever ebay charges, be it listing fees, final value fees, paypal fees, shipping fees, or whatever else they can come up with, in the end, the buyer pays it. The seller has no choice but to add it on to their price. And whether they add it to shipping or price really makes no difference. It will somehow get to that bottom line. So yeah. I don't see ebay as an evil empire. They're looking to make a profit, same as any other business. But make no mistake. The profit they make has to come from SOMEwhere. And as a seller, I'm going to have to make sure it comes from my buyer. I've got to make my profit too!
