The dishwasher/peninsula thing? I don't know if I would do that - maybe cut the peninsula? It's for two reasons. You won't be able to put dishes away in those wall cabinets above and to the right of the dishwasher when the dishwasher is open. You also can't put stuff in the 33" base. I don't know where "hutch" is located, but if the peninsula is between the dishwasher and the hutch, the peninsula will be annoying. Second reason is a waste of space for not much benefit. Lotta fillers when straight counter gets you slightly more usable base cabinet - at least a 36" base. It's hard to tell without a complete floor plan, but depending on what's on the other side near the ref... maybe make a peninsula on that side? Kill the ref angle base cabs, move the pantry to the left side of the ref (as drawn), but further away from the doorways and perhaps have it open towards the doorways. Run a seating counter on the right side of the ref? You might be able to push the ref cabinets over enough to trade the angle base and tiny cab next to the range out for a 18-21" regular base cabinet.

I did some tweaking of your design to show you other options - e.g., moving the DW. It turns out the sink is almost centered on the island when you put enough prep workspace on the side opposite the DW - so if you don't like that, then consider eliminating the seat on the end and moving everything over. That would also give you even more prep space - although I think you have enough now (approx 45"). Regarding the pantry, I presented 4 options - they each have pluses and minuses (I think I like Option #1 using Zelmar's pantry the best). I switched the pantry and the refrigerator b/c the island was a "barrier island' b/w the Prep Zone on the island and the Refrigerator. By moving the refrigerator, the island is no longer a "barrier" to the refrigerator. Ideally, the island would not be a barrier to either the refrigerator or the pantry, but if has to be one, generally it's better to have the refrigerator in the more accessible location (i.e, not "barriered") In addition, you now have separate floor space for the Prep Zone, Cooking Zone, and Cleanup Zone and someone working at the cooktop won't run the risk of backing in to an open DW door (and stumbling) while holding a pot of boiling water (or other hot pot/pan). On the cooktop wall, I tried to make it symmetrical since it appears that's what you want (or at least your KD wants!) Note the 12" cabinet b/w the 24" Easy Reach and the 48" cabinet on the cooktop run. I think a 36"x24" Easy Reach would probably be better, but if you cannot get it or prefer the 12" cabinet, I suggest using a pullout cabinet instead of a standard cabinet. Thanks buehl. I do appreciate the thoughts. If we weren't so far down the road, it would be interesting to consider this idea. I do think the pantry location might be challenging with that design. We could make the kitchen smaller and put a walk in pantry behind the fridge wall (or clean up wall)... but in the end we rejected that layout because we wanted to keep the kitchen and living room the same size (we didn't want the fridge wall to jut into the room making the kitchen area smaller). So we decided to eliminate the walk in pantry and do the reach in pantry on the fridge wall. Another limitation is we wanted pretty large windows flanking the range so we couldn't fit that much on that wall (fridge, freezer, pantry). Those windows actually face our pool and have a nice view so we didn't want to make them smaller. They are also south facing windows and will make our kitchen very light and bright. So when you say 51" aisle, is that cabinet to cabinet? I want to make sure I know what the cabinet to cabinet measurements should be (bc that is how my architect does it). Thanks!!
