Tricia, we all get concerned about forum members that might be having problems. When you see a message like this one, with someone's name on the heading, it's best to not add anything until the person has responded. That way, the message stays up top of the threads that have replies and the person, in this case David, will hopefully see it. Once there is a reply it can get buried pretty quick and the intended person may never see it.

Just a reminder, it happens all the time..I've done it myself. The OP will keep an eye for a response and if there is none, will send the message down the thread.

Thanks for touching base and checking on me and my group Annie, Tricia, Nancy, the emails and heads up about this post.

My family and group are all okay and fine. Crazy afternoon and evening that's for sure. Most of the heavy damage was in central OK although Osage county, NW of the metro had three tornadoes too. I'm thinking okieredhead should be okay too...she is west of Tulsa. Sally's place should be fine too. THe Tulsa area was spared for the most part. It rained here in the northern burbs for about two minutes and that was it.

My heart goes out to those who have lost homes/property and family members.

Crazy thing is most homes here don't have basements of all things!

I'm glad you're okay, too, David. We were actually heading back from Tahlequah Monday night during the storms. It was sunny and beautiful when we left around 5:00 p.m. We got off late, as we usually like to leave by 4:00. It turned out to be a good thing, as the highway we were driving down interesected the path of the storms. The first storm went through ahead of us, and the second one passed by behind us, so we were quite lucky. From what I've heard, the worst of the weather passed just south of where my home is up there, but I won't be able to inspect the place until this weekend.

Phew! Glad to hear that your and your "group" are A-OK! Happy that none of our other CF friends were in the bad areas either. Ice storms, tornado's etc...Mother Nature is really gunning for Oklahoma this year!
