If you're still with me. I ran the REVO uninstaller. Went to Filehippo and downloaded the MBAM (before I restartd the computer, sorry). It restarted after download but now MBAm cannot be recognized in the folder. I get this message: The Name 'C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\MBAM.exe' specified in thetarget box is not valid. Make sure the path & file name are correct. The original MBAM icon on the desktop is there and it is also listed in the list of programs but none of these can be installed or run. Should I run REVO again, that would be my guess but I'm good at confusion, my best feature.

Can you locate this file in Windows Explorer? "C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe" If yes, then it is installed you should be able to run it. If you don't, then either it isn't installed properly or perhaps you got a rogue program if you downloaded it from somewhere other than the Malwarebytes web site. Coincidentally, just now when I went to update MWB, I got the identical error message. Tried 3 times, but same. Googled the error (quite a few posts with same problem), and ended up on MWB Home Forum. Waited 20 mins for it to try and download the correct page before I gave up in frustration. So I ran a complete MWB scan with my old version (Aug.8th), which came up clean. Opened window with left hand, held laptop in right hand, near window with intention of hurling it to the road below, but decide to give it one more attempt. This time, it updated as smooth as silk, no problems! Tough love, I guess. The laptop has become completely compliant now! Regards, Shax
