Photo Hosting Sites - Question

I normally use Snapfish. But I want to be able to create an online album, then sub-albums (sub-folders) within it. Snapfish doesn't support that (I online chatted with a customer service rep).

Do you know of others that do? Preferably free, of course ...

Thanks for the reply, azinoh. Are you saying that Photobucket has that capability? Not sure, because of your question mark, whether you're saying it does or whether you're saying it might. I can check, and will. Thanks!

Okay .. I have tried it and so far .. I am Really impressed! I took screen shots of the two pages that you get after uploading your photo. I am not sure how this will display on here because as I said, these are screen shots plus the two shots are hosted on photobucket because I'm still messing around with 'how' to do stuff with the new site. What is Really impressive is that even though I did sign up for an account .. I wasn't signed in to do this. You only need an account if you want control over your pictures. I have photobucket but do not care for it since all the latest changes. I have used imageshack for many years and still do. some others that are used by those doing ebay and craigslist http://www.galleryhosted.com/ IMGboot http://www.mejuba.com/ winkflash ImageShack FOTKI since they are all free you can try out as many as you like

I got an email back today. "HI there, Photos can be uploaded directly to Houzz, so while you may include links to photo bucket or other photo sites in your posts and comments, the photos can not be embedded directly. Original posts must be edited within an hour. Comments on posts can be edited up to one week later. The reason these limits are in place is to insure consistency in the discussion that follows and to allow for minimal disruption to the other users participating in the conversation. If posts are editable forever, discussions can lose their coherency as people come back and remove their content." I also saw on the Kitchen forum today someone mentioned a post she flagged as spam other people could still see and were commenting on. I'm interested to know how the flagging works too. - Since I flagged two of my own posts. I did want to correct that the photos from Photobucket that weren't coming down...when I went back in last night to try some tests here I realized I didn't delete all of my pics which was why they were still showing the other day. My bad. I apologize for going on about that when it was my fault.

Which free photo hosting site do you use?

They changed their policies two years ago in June, 2017. nicole, that's what I did to get my photos back. It was time consuming but it worked. Photobucket really did not handle that change well. They gave their customers very short notice, held their photos hostage and initially were going to charge $60 - $400 per year (depending on how much space each user was using). In response to the uproar...*ahem*, I mean, all of the negative feedback from their customers, a year ago they reduced their pricing to $53.90 to $129 per year depending on the size of account one wants. They also offer a free account with a storage limit of 250 photos/2.5GB I get that they are a business and they want to make money, but that was not the way to spring it on people. I no longer trust other hosting sites not to turn around and do the same thing, so I just keep my photos on a flash drive which has been backed up as well. If I want to share with family/friends I post to Instagram.

Photobucket, Picasa and Flickr all have that capability.

Check webshots, I use it but have never had to make subalbums but it should say if you can or not. Photobucket just does not work for me and screws up all the time. The only thing about webshots is it won't host animation like photobucket but I use image shack for that. Mary

Photobucket. Have it for years with lots of albums and subs. Never had a problem with it.

I have also used PB for years without a problem. I have albums, but no sub albums.

A forum I visit for cross stitch a lot of people host their stuff for sale on PB and most every one is always complaining of it when trying to view sale albums, half the time it's so slow wonder why that is? Most of us have switched to webshots because of it. I know I had a lot of trouble uploading and deleting stuff as did others. I know it's not our computer as webshots runs fast and no trouble uploading or no troubles any where else like image shack either just with PB. Mary
