I have used photobucket for years and for me, its easy and its rare that I have had any problems with it. So I have never looked at any other sites.

I think Photobucket is a tad boring, but maybe that's because I haven't really investigated its features. I've used it for years, especially for eBay selling, because it's easy and free.

I pay for a Flickr Pro account, and I like it well enough. Again, I haven't gotten into its chief feature, which is the photography version of social networking. Every once in a while I'll check out my friends' photos, which is fun. I do it less often with strangers, but I do occasionally. There are some fabulous images on Flickr, and groups with specific focus.

A lot of serious amateurs and pros like Pbase--and a couple of other sites with names that escape me at the moment.

I mostly use PictureTrail but also have a photobucket account.

PictureTrail has more bells and whistles.

I use Photobucket.I have a paid Pro account and a regular account but I'm not very happy with the interface. You can dress it up, put different backgrounds, colors, layouts on each album but it's still not all that user friendly. It's getting better though.

I also have a Flickr account but don't use it much. Would take too long to transfer my 5,000+ from Photobucket to Flickr. I do like that it's bit easier to view albums there.

I use Photobucket, because it's the one that was recommended to me, to post pics here. The only online photo site I have is PB, and it just has the pics that I post here in it.

I use a public photo album on Picasa to post here. I love Picasa for photo editing and cataloging.

I started out with Picasa. My problem with it: At the time (maybe it's still this way), there was a limit as to how many photos you could upload, and then after that you had to pay for the "pro" level service.

Then I moved to Shutterfly. I like it because I do my photobooks on Shutterfly. But you don't have to do a photobook to use Shutterfly. For instance, I created a "share" photo site there of my pup, and every so often I upload new photos of her, with captions, and a notice goes out to the friends and family invited by me to see it that there are new photos. An easy way for them to see the pup!

I also have a Photobucket free-level account. That's where I upload, say, things I want to sell on Craigslist or pictures of house projects that I want to add to my postings on the Home Dec boards I visit. Like a photo of my bathroom vanity that I need to touch up!

Other than the Picasa limit on # of photos (you can reach that easily uploading photos from a big vacation trip!), I don't see much difference among the sites I use.
