What do I do with an existing window that is now in my the shower

We're planning a bath renovation and I keep drafing floor plans avoiding the windows with the shower placement. However many of you here purposely put windows in showers for "cross ventilation." Is cross ventilation important in shower? If we place the shower where there is an existing window, what do I do to the double-hung window with wood trim that is there now, just remove trim and surround whole thing with tile? I'm sure I need to do more and probably want to replace the window no natter what. I see others just fill in the space with glass block? We're just trying to get an idea of what is involved as it is a brick home so we just can't remove the window and fill in the hole. We don't want to lose the light anyway Thanks!!
