It won't copy directly.
You would be better off to reauthor it as a DVD.
Hope you saved the original finished video file.

That would also depend if you have or dont have a DVD burner on your puter. It would have really been helpful when asking your question if you would have given some info on your computer

I guess that most people would assume that I have a DVD burner on my computer if I was going to try to copy it to a DVD.

I have Roxio as the software. What other information do you need?

I haven't copied a CD made with Movie Maker but I have Roxio Classic Creator 6.1.1.7 and I burn CDs to DVD. In fact, I just copied some graphics to a DVD. Just put the CD in and burn as usual.....Everything looks fine.

You can do that with data files,
but (S)VCD disks are different.
The formatting between a video CD and a DVD is different.
You could rip the video from the video CD and re author it.
But you suffer a severe loss of video quality.

You would be better off to start with the original
video file and reauthor it as a DVD.

IF you have the original file from Movie Maker - you can put that into Roxio.

I know there are several different versions of "Roxio" - but this is how I do it on mine. I open up DVD Builder - and add the "movie". I take out the Roxio intro - drives me nuts, LOL

THen I burn the "Movie Maker" slideshow to DVD. WOrks great!

I love using Movie Maker - the only drawback is that it doesn't burn to DVD.

WHen I create the Movie Maker project, in step 3 - Save To Computer - I choose "Other Settings" - High Quality Video (NTSC) - then I burn onto DVD, that saved project using Roxio.

Hope this is clear - LOL! I am not sure it makes any sense to anyone but me?
