There is nothing morally wrong with copying a product that you own for your personal use. I do it once in a while with music CDs. I burn a clone to carry in my truck while the original remains in the home. I can't think of a justifiable reason to copy a DVD for personal use, but there may be one. In this instance the request and cited intent was unclear and appeared to be shady. Always remember on the Internet nothing is as it seems. "The FBI says......" I challenge that statement as being myth and legend. In Federal statutes, as in state statues regarding contraband, possession alone is a violation. Intent is not an element unless the individual is being charged with manufacture and delivery. DA

IF you have the original file from Movie Maker - you can put that into Roxio. I know there are several different versions of "Roxio" - but this is how I do it on mine. I open up DVD Builder - and add the "movie". I take out the Roxio intro - drives me nuts, LOL THen I burn the "Movie Maker" slideshow to DVD. WOrks great! I love using Movie Maker - the only drawback is that it doesn't burn to DVD. WHen I create the Movie Maker project, in step 3 - Save To Computer - I choose "Other Settings" - High Quality Video (NTSC) - then I burn onto DVD, that saved project using Roxio. Hope this is clear - LOL! I am not sure it makes any sense to anyone but me?

Is the music copyright protected?

Yes, I believe you can export the data or print it out. I have worked several days with it, and it is still the fastest way to catalog that I have ever used. I also sent for the little electronic bar code reader ($15) which will make entry of any recent publication a breeeze: just scan and click! Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on my mood) most of my books (and I have 6,000+ of them) are much older so no bar code, or even ISBN, to rely on. I'm finding that I have to hand enter the data on those books. So it's a wash as far as saving time there. One can upload certain formats of catalog data (not mine, alas) so if you've already started you may ahead of the game. If you have less than 200 items, so you can use the site for free. More than that, it's $10/year to continue uploading or $25 for a lifetime of uploads. Once I get all my backlog done it should be easy to keep it updated. I'm still loving it, though spending waaay too much playing with my books while I'm at it. Molly~
