He looks so much like our "Sugar", who has been gone for several years and I still miss her. She was such a sweet cat and occasionaly would sit on your lap, on her terms, of course.

He was such a cutie, so very curious and always where the people were. He developed Diabetic Ketoaciddosis and there was no turning it around. I'll miss him terribly, he was just so much darn fun and couldn't resist a box or a bag.

He was one handsome fellow and definitely had a playful look in his eyes. I'm so sorry for your loss, but I know that your world was better for having him with you for the time that you shared. May he rest in peace.

Our Daniel, the 20+ pound Siamese who ruled our house for many years, had Diabetes too and required twice daily insulin shots. I hope he finds Chase.

Thanks guys. I'm still a bit taken aback when he doesn't show up in the bathroom at 3:30 when I make my nightly trip, or that he isn't racing down the stairs when I get up in the morning, looking for his food!

I'm still getting use to the fact that I don't have to close my bathroom door because he thought my tub was his personal spa and I can close the linen closet door because he isn't napping in there.

Funny how we adapt our lives to suit them.

On the other hand Maddie, his sister, is much more affectionate with me. Guess because big brother isn't hogging all the desk time....or maybe she knows.

It takes time, but eventually you will your sadness will subside. I imagine that Maddie is grieving too, in her own way. My best thoughts go out to you.

Aw, Sharon, I haven't been on this side in a while. I'm so sorry you lost Chase. What a beautiful cat. I know what you mean about adapting our lives to them. As hard as it is sometimes to scrape Sammie from between my legs so I can get up during the night, I wouldn't know what to do otherwise. It's good that Maddie is asking for more attention, for both of you. I'll be thinking of you.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I don't even have pets any more because I am too devastated when I lose them. You have my deepest sympathy.

I had a close call this past week. One of my favorite cats (I have 8 favorites!) disappeared while we were out of town. She was gone for nearly a week. I got some pictures printed out, took one by the vet, and headed home to start going door to door with them, and there she was, curled up on the back of the couch. Only those with pets know what he.. I was going through, and what a weight was lifted from me when she returned. All during this time I kept thinking about what you're going through, Sharon, and still have you in my thoughts and prayers.
