Maggie, Stacy3 posted yesterday on her Stroganoff thread. Sounds like she is preparing a very special dinner for her DH.

Girlsingarden (Stacie) posted early this week on the Kitchen Table so I'm assuming she is okay too.

Hey Maggie - thanks - we're fine. Scott traveled last week and again next week. phew. Since his most frequent destination is Houston and there is no direct flight from Buffalo to Houston, he often travels either through Newark, or Cleveland.

It's just awful. He was anxious to get to work today, too and found out that it seems that no coworkers were aboard the flight either. thank goodness. It will undoubtedly touch too many people around here and the NYC/NJ area.

We got our ele. last night as I posted and have had it all day....our town and Eufaula is under a state of emergency kids will probably be out all week.....the roads are just solid....a few little spots showed thru on the highway (266) in front of our house and that is it...we went sledding on a hill at the end of our road today and you can see I-40 and the trucks were barely making it up the hill were we live....one almost didn't make it crazy.....Brian drove Sydney into work again tonight...and we will pick her up....all around us people who have REC ele or EC are out....OG&E that we have are good to go...think all our new lines and power poles are holding tight from 2 years ago when we had the really bad ice storm.. Hi thanks for asking about us. We are home now and just trying to get stuff caught up and busy with the kids....and dogs and we got to mini donkies....I can't answer anything about Kasey as she is with her husband again and is not in contact with any of the family.....so I just say my prayers that all is fine. Sydney is doing good. She moved back home from Edmond and is going to the Jr. College in the next town...she was struggling making her rent, going to school and working...so now she has no rent to make and just works and goes to school! I am doing fine just still trying to get used to my dentures...doing much better with that struggle and now have a beautiful smile so I am happy...... Now if I could just start on my exercising like I want to instead of finding excuses it would be great... My oldest son Dylan graduates this year so busy with his Senior stuff also.... And Tanner will be the first to graduate from the new High School in 13...so he is pumped about that.... All is great with us...Thanks again for asking! Plz keep praying!!! Stacy

LOL no the Grinch made it with out any problems..LOL I got a small insecion on my belly button and then on the right side...they just have the dissolving stitches and then really low is the 17 staples. I am just putting the launry away llady and I promise this is all I have dones since getting out on saturday. I got mine because I was having a period every other week then they tried to have me take bith control to shrink some cysts and tumors and then I bleed for a whole month and was physco crazy.....so we went with the hyster...and I think I will be glad once I get thru all this part of it and the anemia.....Stacy

I know Maggie, I was worried too! Scott is always on the road and I think he uses the Buffalo airport as a base. He was my first thought when I heard the news last night.

Did you also hear that one of the 9/11 families was killed on that flight? It's difficult to comprehend how tragedy of this magnitude could strike the same family twice.

Ellen, I just read about the 9/11 widow! Unreal. She was traveling to their hometown, I think to celebrate her husband's birthday.

yep, she was supposed to present a scholarship in her late husband's honor at Canisius high school (also Tim Russert's alma mater) today I think...unbelievable.

I think it is so sad. But, I was disappointed to see the focus on the widow of 911. Yes, I get the irony, but she is no more important than the other 49 people who also died.
My condolences to all the families.
