deleted files accidentally

Is there any way to get files back after acidentally deleting them, autoplay was one of them.

I tried system restore but that didn't work.

I don't want to lose everything I have saved on the computer by using the system operations cd.

Have you looked in the recycle bin?

You can put pictures on 1 CD and
Your Documents on another CD.
This is just good practice against
future loss.
Make a Backup of Everything on your
Computer ever so often.
Delete the old Backup before making
a new one.

2.Unpack the .zip file and run clear.fi client setup.exe You should have a folder on the desktop with a zipper on it, that is if you downloaded it to the desktop,. To "Unpack" it. Thank you both for the quick responses ! :-) RC, I didn't want to try that (on my own) only because I was afraid of losing something permanently that I might need later. No matter.... Zep's suggestion did the trick ! I don't know whether it was the safe mode or just the reboot (which I hadn't tried), but the file has been successfully deleted and the RB emptied. Thanks again ! :-)

You might look in your control panel at ' Users ' See if you have Administrator privileges ? Perhaps let us know what version of windows you have,, maybe the program name too.

"Sooo...anything dated before today, including folders, can be deleted?" Did you reboot today? It's possible, although unlikely, that if you haven't rebooted today a program that has been running for a long time could have files open from before today. If you want to safely delete files, you should reboot and only delete files that are stamped from before the reboot.

I have used this next one and it is completely Free
but I didn't like it. I couldn't find what I was looking for.
