Yes, I would agree that my kids are very tough on CDs and DVD's, one scratch will render a $20 movie useles. For this reason, I copy most of my CD's onto my hard drive, where I can either watch them on my computer, transfer them to my Ipod or burn to a DVDRW disk for a backup (for personal use within my own home, of course.) I found two programs that enable me to do this seemlessly. One is Slysoft, Any DVD, available at at www.slysoft.com. When installed, this pgm runs in the background, and it will "decode" any decription written into most store bought CDs to prevent copyright infringement. The other program is Vault 360, available at www.bambootech.com, which will format all your movies into the correct format to download and play on your ipod, PSP, or PDA device. Of course, be aware that copyright law prohibits the use of such software for any other use but backing up a dvd or cd to protect from wear or accidental damage, etc. --John

One of the better one's out there is download helper. It is a Firefox add on but it will download just about any video from any site. There is a small learning curve but you'll pick it up in no time. Here is a link that might be useful: downloadhelper

Sorry not what I am looking for, I have 2 great photo editing programs now, I viewed some ones slideshow of Christmas photo's and it was kewl, they actually had objects walking across the bottom such as a snowman etc., wondering how they added those?

I don't know much about those sites (safe or not), but in my case (and FWIW) I collect mine individually from forums. E.g. I would create a folder in Pictures (Windows 7) and call it "Smileys." Then I go to something like the Opera browser forums. I'd pick a long thread likely to contain a lot of casual discussion, like this one and scan down the page -- and through all the pages -- looking at their smileys. If I find any I like, I right-click on it and save it to the Smileys (or is it "Smilies"?) folder, renaming it appropriately. Then in my email software -- and in most of my webmail clients -- it's easy to add one to the email by browsing to the file and insert it. I don't go crazy with this. I probably only have about 12-15 of them, just to add a visual expression to something I'm saying, and only when writing to friends casually.
